Gisele Marchese you need to consider that cover songs are better than original. not everyone has the same taste. and this song I didn’t know was a cover. But she made it better and I didn’t even listen to the original. Respect peoples opinions because not everyone is into the same stuff

Absolutely beautiful and Absolutely true. When I left my abusive partner I was like I have to make a big change. I had to change my life and I remember sitting in the hospital with broken ribs. I knew that leaving him and my home town was going to be the hardest thing to do when that is all I knew. And it was very difficult and still is. But I changed my life. Knowing that Corinne's husband died of an overdose in 2008 makes this cover even sadder coming from her.

It's interesting, how so many female vocalists have come around to revisiting the introspective style and emotional timbres of Laura Nyro's performances. Only 45 years after one of the true originals lost too soon.

I return to this song and Corinne's voice to relax and enjoy. She is a wonderful singer.
