Corgi. Aston Martin DB5. And. Lotus Esprit book. Review

I think mine was 74 or 75, it had one painted spare baddie, but how long do they last when you're 9 or 10? By todays standards it was almost over engineered. I would've got the Lotus, but I had the same quibble about the wheels, so that was a no sale for me. So many juicy alternatives for a kid to spend his cash on at the time!👍

@@BlueHToys I hope you're being sarky! 1979/80? Just about anything was a viable alternative to a Moonraker Lotus stuck in submarine mode! If it'd had retractable wheels and spring out hydro planes, then yeah, I might have gone for it but as it was I had Star Wars stuff to get, Micronauts, Action man gear, Mego figures (I had 2 of the Star Trek Aliens, the Neptunian and Balor I got from a newsagent, gone now...) Ooh, all sorts of good stuff. Plus, at about 15 years old, booze and porn. Stretches the finances a bit far for a disappointing Lotus (in my opinion).😂🤣

@@BlueHToys PS, just remembered I did have the die cast Moonraker cap firing laser gun. And a Blakes 7 gun that fired ping pong balls.🤔

It was Spy who loved me in 1977. Pre star wars, action man and matchbox were the only option to corgi. The lotus design was nothing like anything else at the time, even though it was the last great design to come from them.
