Corey Pegues on Going from Supreme Team Gang Member to NYPD Cop (Full Interview)

Ойын-сауық

In this full-length interview, Corey Pegues shares the story of how a core member of the infamous drug-dealing crew known as the Supreme team, changed his life and become a member of the NYPD but not before having encountered several violent hurdles along the way. Pegues also talks about growing up in Queens during the 70s, racking up nearly $200,000 a day as a collective unit with his drug-selling crew, the moment the crack era hit his neighborhood, and the birth of his child in 1986.
As the interview moves along, Pegues talks about working for the iconic drug lord, Supreme, and his botched murder attempt of a former rival. He then shares the gritty details about how the Feds took down the Supreme team shortly after he joined the military and how those events led to him taking a police test to become a cop, later on down the line. Later in the discussion, Pegues divulges what it was like to be a member of the NYPD by detailing his progression from training sergeant to Captain to Deputy inspector.
Lastly, Pegues talks about what led to his tumultuous ending with the NYPD, citing his affinity for the Black and Brown community as some of the incidents that caused him to speak out against his fellow police offers. He also shares his thoughts on the death of Eric Garner and the current tenure of Mayor Eric Adams.

Grew up in life of crime, sale drugs, almost killed someone but his lack of gun training saved him back then from killing someone so he cab better his life. He got off the streets to go serve his country and learn valuable trades to make him a better wiser leader and man.. became a cop and went thru the ranks and succeeded without selling out and keeping it real because he grew real..the streets made him hard and to handle streets situations..educated himself to help other teens to not follow his footsteps. Cops shouldn’t be able to turn cameras off or lower the volume but they can I don’t know if the law on this is the same everywhere but that’s a major problem … thanks… GOD BLESS !!!

body cameras when not recording is recording one minute loop without volume and when you start recording thats when the volume comes on, the only volume you can lower on the camera is the beeping sound it makes every two minutes of recording....thats why when you're watching a body camera video from the beginning the first minute is mute because its showing you that 1 minute loop untill you actually start recording

Policing did not start with slave patrol,he has a very interesting story but his ignorance is astounding. It's sad that someone can have all his experience and still be so confused on history and facts.

Back then Queens was a zone and they focused on Jamaica because the hood was buzzin. People also don't realize that when Preme was around he wasn't with the drama, he wanted to make $$, get bitc$es, look fly, chill with ballers and rappers, and stay out da way!!!
