I was just informed by shop team that we are having this same problem and our hardware does not like the new bumpy and/or broken curves. We'll stay on 2021 for the time being. I noticed some interesting and colorful dialog boxes during your video in Corel. Are those built into the program somewhere or are those part of some custom macro?

Hey, thanks for watching and reaching out! Misery loves company and I'm glad it wasn't just us. I know other shops use .AI and such, but for us, .DXF is the way to go because we need the layers info to be passed along to rout dept and DXF is just right. As far as the interesting and colorful dialog boxes, those are all my custom macro creations. I started making macros about 10 years ago and now I use them exclusively to do everything. I basically open CorelDRAW only to access MY programs and get after it. I have several videos and playlists that feature my macros, as well as how they integrate directly with the unique production method I created. I'll be doing one soon that explains my tool bar at the bottom of the screen in every video. It's just been tough to carve some time because we've been so busy in the shop, thankfully. A lot of the sign videos are inside baseball because I started the channel during COVID and was working remotely and needed a way to pass on info to the fab guys. It turned out to be super useful and I continue to make the job explainer videos even today. They're like one-sided production meetings. Now almost 100 subscribers later... WOOT! Help yourself to the videos and enjoy!

@@dezobuilt Thanks for the reply. Wow, you've produced a ton of videos in a short amount of time. Good job. I'm looking forward to watching more of them. I've been programming in Microsoft Access for years (close to 3 decades, now) so I'm hoping to us my VB skills automate many of our procedures in Corel. For instance, we do complete sign packages for large apartment communities, so I've created a Sign List database in Access to identify and list out all of the signs in a "sign package". I'm now developing some code to merge the list of signs with a CorelDraw template to automatically populate a set of ADA sign layouts with the sign copy, Braille, ID number, location and quantity. We already have a macro that converts text to Braille, and I think the rest will be doable. The one piece of the puzzle that has eluded us for years is a macro that will perform ADA compliant character kerning on a string of text. We use a variety of sans serif fonts for the tactile text so the code would need to work within the requirements for ADA letter spacing regardless of the font. If you are aware of any such animal or would be willing to take this on as a programming task, please let me know.
