Not really "useless" I'd say. If you don't have time to farm for equipment, and/or lazy, these equipment pretty much compensates for that. Especially for casual players or people who enjoy aesthetics of some of these planes. Sure, there are better alternatives, but if you want a laid back experience, some of these stuff are pretty decent. Not good, but decent.

I agree with Sushi Mucher , the core shop shouldn't be for that. I'm a good example of someone who has to by some of the "useless stuf" - new player (I'm playing since the end of Feb). My gold equipment is moslty from the events and i'm still grinding to get ships to 120. The jap 203 ware a must buy for me because i had no guns (i farmed with rare and out of luck the same day i got the jap 203 i got german 203 sk c , so i can arm 1 CA in the 2 main fleets). For older players that have everything , those should be just collectibles, because you did the grind for the good stuff.

The Fairly Firefly was historically a fighter. However for whatever reason Yostar decided to make them a dive bomber. Honestly if they made them a fighter in game it will be insane but now it's just a really lackluster dive bomber

@@mowtow90 the right call for f2p is just using purple double 203mm ap skc and do research untill you have gold triple 203mm skc, core data should be saved for white+black shell and oxy torp+sub gear,

So in short. Nothing of value was added. Save for a few situational aircraft and a seal specifically for Anshan destroyers for a collection. The main critical gear out of the core shop hasn't changed, and everything new added was a "Maybe" to "Not worth" Thanks for the tips, bit disappointing that the new stuff are this way, hope to get something from the data shop eventually that can contend with PR2 research gear.

Problem is with that last bit. The PR2 are hard to get hence the OP Ness of them to be worth it. Core shop things is much easier to get in comparison. They have to strike a balance so I perfectly understand why they're doing that. The core shop helps small players while big players have to do a lot to get stuff.

depends... if you are new to the game, like, you started less than 1 month ago, there are a few items that is nice to have until you get the better version from the research. Dont forget that he plays since the CBT so his guides are most for people who plays since that time, like me :)

For all those saying: "Why would the devs even add these useless items in the core shop?" Here's my take: There are a lot of new players (including me) who are short on good gears. For more casual players, grinding for gears is a hassle and buying some of these gears in the core data shop alleviates some of that. There are BETTER gears, but if you want a semi-good gear for now, you can get one in the shop, just until you finish grinding for better gears. It's just like with ships. I used to have almost no SSRs when I started because 3c mentioned in another video that using a lot of SSRs make it harder for a player to limit break them since gold bulins aren't that easy to come by early and will have a dramatic effect on one's progress on the game overall. So i started using rare, elits and even common ships as a beginner and as i started to have a feel for the gamd, I've looked for SSRs and meta ships to make my fleets better. Just like these gears, they are there in case you still lack better gears.

While I kinda get what you are saying there is gear which can patch you over, it still is very expensive (I could probably grind the golden pieces of an item faster than the points from the same hard mode map, but maybe I am wrong there) and there is gear which could give you a huge boost and is relevant on a lot of ships. For newbies i thought it would be more important to get universal Gear instead of patching a few weakspots for a few ships(well maybe if you already know who is important to you ) But either way I would also say well it is not perfect gear butt something for collectors or people who have everything. Still not a bad thing from the devs.

@@QuyetNguyen-qv8gw i agree but you rely on RNG for those. Most of the time, you don't get the gears you need. When i started, i really wanted the purple shells for BB since i used to use a lot of BBs in my fleet before the ACV update but I was spammed with repair kits (i have over 20 of them now). Buying from the core shop however guarantees you the item you bought. And as I've said, the point of this gears are as immediate substitutes while you're grinding for something better WHILE you get good gears in gold boxes with good RNG which can take a good amount of time.

@@gromigur well, im just a casual so i dont have a lot of time to grind gears. I use what i have. Thankfully, i have a lot of good gears now, but purple gears you get in events and as rewards arent even that bad as long as you know how and on whom you use them for. For me, an adequately enhanced mediocre gear is better than an under-enhanced great gear anyways so i dont necessarily grind for gears, i grind for the plates.

its ok to buy whatever u feels like u are lacking, even the Firefly or the Firebrand. I bought Chips, which is not even listed here sometimes. Even if you replace them later by SB2C or Barracuda, there's still something there called "Skill Timing" where you need many kind of +10 gears just to adjust a tiny bit of time at the super super end game. This video is just a recommend, not a must in the 1st place (with the prerequisites is that u have ton of data core ofcourse)

Fortunately, we have the Fallen Wings archive, so added to Core Data was the VF-17 Squadron Corsair, aka the Corsair's gold weapons/purple plane modified to gold weapons/gold plane, and as such it's easily the best fighter in the game. Go get it.

The Blackburn Firebrand is a good gear for people who has terrible tech box luck (like me) and can't get enough gold barracuda, as that thing is not much worse and actually better in W12/13 (higher AA capability). Also gold barracuda is not farmable on normal map The Fairly Firefly was historically a fighter. However for whatever reason Yostar decided to make them a dive bomber. Honestly if they made them a fighter in game it will be insane (2x1000lbs bombs) but now it's just a really lackluster dive bomber. The SBD dauntless could be interesting if one day yostar give Enterprise a retrofit and tie that aircraft to her second skill (Kinda like Formidable) The submarine batteries is good for people who can't get the cat officer Steel. Other new items are pretty useless most of the time so ya. Good video as always

Tbh those Winter's Crown aircrafts are really good to help bursting down enemy aircrafts when launching airstrikes, especially on w13 And you don't need that much accuracy on BB unless it's boss fight or PvP (also perma black shell on Nagato because she's got huge accuracy buff already, and maybe Warspite too) That CA HE gun has better target locking against fast targets for little less dps (which is usually DD, and that's where HE guns matter the most)

Yo Just3c, thanks for one more great video. I just wanna ask something and this is the best place for it as I don't really know how else I woud do it. But as you do this awesome review guides, you have never thought about doing it for ships too? Yes, ofc we have review, but no good once. Azur Lane need's a content creator that does review on ships, tells them what they are good at, example. Ranking them like this. Ibuki. PvP:***** Pve mob fleet:** Pve boss fleet:**** Raid: **** Chapter 12-13 high threat: ** Etc something like this + explaining why the ranking is like it is woud be wonderful to get. As everyone right now is just reading of wiki and gives some gear tips, but I coud have done that myself. I know how to read. But even if I have played this game for a long time, I don't really know how to use all of my ships and where they shine or not. And I think it exist A LOT of players like this. And it woud be a nice way to make a good t-ier list too.

Type 95 is one of the choice for Monitors if you wanna do eco runs with high power gun, since they can't equip black/white shells, but just 1 is enough

i grabbed the seal as an upgraded second toolbox for DDs and the fighter buffing plane since all i do is grind levels in 12-2/12-4 so its actually nice since i use 0LB langley anyway so now she'll buff the other carriers fighters a little

Core Data is a interesting thing who could be a thing for everyone, but aside of the shells, oxy torps and oxy for subs is more likely no good someone who does have a 6+ months old account because you gonna have at least 2 of each god tier planes and at least one of the best guns on game. I was about to buy the planes just to equip a royal CV because I wanted too, but I will leave it aside praying for good worth stuff in the future.

the beacon aux is good esp on quick takeoff cvls and cvs that have "barrages" i.e. enterprise and taihou, especially for the latter to get the rng procs more often

they should add jet like Keiun (Yokusuka R2Y) or Daihatsu Landing Craft for bonus expedition or anti sub plane like Kyushu Q1W Tokai u know the usefull planes also some radars like GFC Mk.37 or SK Radar.

I hope that the VF-17 Corsair and Sea Fury will added to the EN Core Shop next month.

I never seem to have enough shells or oxygen torpedoes handy. so sad.

So collecting rainbow sticks it is =-= I was realy hoping we'll get F4U from fallen wings, but no only CN/JP gets them. Maybe there's still hope for the rerun. Nah, probably global core shop just being year behind. Still nice content, it'll be helpfull for new players.

Sorry for the dumb question but: what does "useful for speed adjusting" refer to?

You could think about gear/equipment like water. Unless you are in a restaurant, where "one water" is shorthand for "one bottle of water", saying "one water" or "two waters" does not really make much sense. You can say "three bottles of water" or "five cans of water". In general, water, like many other things, is uncountable. The same applies to the words "gear", "equipment", "luggage", "furniture", etc. They all refer to the whole set. If you want to single out a single piece of it, you say "one piece of" or "two pieces of": "this piece of auxillary gear", "that piece of gear", "all of the new gear in the shop"... The word "aircraft" is another speciality of the (weird and often irregular) English language. Its plural and singular forms are the same: One aircraft, two aircraft. One sheep, two sheep (unless you're the mathemusician Vihart). One moose, two moose. I hope that helps explain the usage of these words. Thanks for another informative video!

the game is very hands free you can do whatever you want. But a new player i recommend farming 3-4 until you have a bunch of repair toolboxes while getting 2 fleets leveled up.

Sam Sneed F4U VF-17 is the best gold fighter in the game.

they should really add some bonus for using like eagles equipment on eagle girls for all the gear. it would make some gear playable.

What about Wee Vee, Wasp, the sea fury and special Corsair?

West Virginia is just another Big Seven ship but worse than Rodney and Nelson because she can only equip DD guns Wasp is one of the worst carriers in the game You can get both from archive drops so spending money on them is a waste of data

what about delaying fire device + jean bart? wouldnt it be a great combo since she attacks all over the place but really high dmg?

no JB is like poster child for white shell/black shell combo . Why ? Because it already got buff to Crit and Crit damage. Since it Crits for more you want that crit shell and since it crits more often you want crit damage. That ship basically screams give me black/white shells

Aaaaannnddd he just assumed all players can EASILY obtain the high performance hydraulic steering gear even though you're a newbie. 2. Delayed firing device is good accurate shooting for battleships. You compared it to the White and Black Shell??? Really???BRUH! Aaaaaannnddd he DID NOT EVEN MENTION JEAN BART!!!! lol welp what do you expect from an autolaner. 3. how does the *Prototype 203mm (type3) mounted Gun* give "very little improvement over other gear we have? oO with 48x4 HE and roughly 5 sec cd its one of the best HE guns (for CAs) afaik (unless i oversaw something?)

the accuracy of that gun is pretty bad..a common problem for CA HE guns really. The research gun fires much faster with higher accuracy, so it's a lot better.

Currently only Atago & Saint-Louis (the PR one) that are specialized for HE guns. Other CAs might actually be better off with AP guns.

@@reinhardofavercland7448 even without specialisation, the lower cd and tight spread make this weapon great on any CA. i only use AP on those that are specialised in AP, only exceptions is for maps with where heavy armor enemys are in the majority
