The villain in this movie is actually kinda nice ‘cause she gives her like a million warnings.

I think a lot of people miss the fact that the other father specifically wants to help Coraline. Not only is he warning her in a way he won’t get in trouble for, but he even in his dying breaths during the praying mantis battle reaches up to hand Coraline the garden eye

with i have a theory: If other father wrote that song to warn her does that mean the father was the original dad trapped in his body Or the other father was originally the good one in the other word

Another hidden message is after the Other Father sings the song about Coraline notice how when he asked “Who’s Starving?” You can tell he purposely put up his right hand up and then this left raises. But you can tell the Other Father didn’t raise his left hand purposely like he did with his right because it slight slaps the Other Father’s face and he says “Whoah” like he wasn’t expecting it. The left hand raising unexpectedly is another hidden clue that the Other Mother wants to eat her

Hidden Fact: did you know that at the end of the movie the cat walked on the sign infront of the pink palace and then disappeared, the cat could only do that in the other world so that means she's still in the other world while her other parents made and illusion to make their eyes look real so Coraline thinks those are her real parents and Why-Born and the cat have to play along with the act or else they will get hurt.

I was 9 yo when i saw it. I just assumed it was for kids because it was rated PG. It didn’t bother me but i felt bad for her though.

Every line the other father sings he is trying to help her to get away from belda. The song meaning to her means that other mother is trying to make her stay and never leave the other world.

“I bet your father is as hungry as a pumpkin!” *she’s hinting that he’s a pumpkin*

I only watch this once and I didn’t even get to finish this movie because it was so scary that I pee myself😳

I watched Coraline for the first time when I was younger and I got scared in one part so I turned it off

I remember a time of life where i loved that movie so much i watched it about 2-3 times a day, and memorized literally he entire script, the songs, the lyrics, when certain things happened, etc.

Also in her cake the other mother makes there's a double loop o. double loop o in Greek means the person who wrote it is lying. the cake, Wich says "welcome h double loop o me" only has one double loop o therefore she's welcome but she's not home.

Here’s a theory: Coraline never escaped and here’s why: You know how they made the garden look like Coraline? When they zoomed out at the end it showed the other mothers that makes me think she still in the same world. Also in the end the cat can still travel back to the other world what if that’s the real world become he has no reason to go back to the other world. Also! When Coraline went to bed instead of going through the other door that makes me think she never left in the first place. And last but not least you haven’t forgotten that she entered the other mothers world right? The other mother controlled everything and I honestly think that the other Wybie was being controlled because when he turns to dust,but the rats were able to cross the border to the real world and back perfectly fine,so why wasn’t Wybie able to? That tells me that mother was able to control him and everything else to think Coraline has escaped. This is the Beldams world she made everything and everyone she controlled everything and everyone and also the other mother has been doing it for YEARS you honestly think that a 11-year old girl would be able to stop a spider witch?
