The violet carriage is power-fed along the axis of rotation of the workpiece. The orange tool spindle carrying a red tool and a red tracer can slide in the green post that is fixed to the cross slide of the lathe.
The tracer is forced toward the pink sample by a spring. The sample position in relation with the workpiece can be adjusted owing to the violet nut and a conrod of spherical joints (on the right).
Use the green screw of the cross slide to increase the cutting depth. The blue cam is used when moving the tracer to the initial position.

First off, thank you for your videos! I've been digging through them for inspiration. I was wondering if you could give me any advice on a machine that would remove tissue paper from small 1"x2" cards without scratching or damaging the cards. The tissue paper is held on by a small piece of clear tape. I have thought of spring loaded razor blades, lasers, and something similar to a planar. The main problem I'm having is that the cards are not wrapped consistently, so the thickness varies. Do you have any ideas? Thank you.

Please consider following way: 1. Put the cards in a container and close it hermetically. 2. Increase the pressure inside the container by heating or by using a compressor if the cards are not wrapped hermetically (the air can penetrate inside of cards pack). 3. Open the container suddenly. Expanding air will tear the tissue paper. Popcorn is made by this way. Please pay attention to the safety because of air explosion.

thang010146 Thank you so much for your reply. This has been driving me crazy for some time now. Do you have any recommendations for a container that I could pressurize with a standard air compressor?

Experiment to verify this method: - Put several wrapped cards into a portion of used motorcycle inner tube (with valve) and tie its both ends. - Pump the tube until it is blasted and see whether the tissue paper is torn. 2. Idea about the container: - Cut off the upper end of an used gas cylinder and make a lid with hinge for it. - Use a quick release clamp for the lid in such way that by just a hammer blow the lid is opened. - The air inlet is on the cylinder lower part (or on the lid?) By the way I have read somewhere that the explosive can be used for peeling potato.
How to take reverse possition ? In forwerd job done turning..and how to reverse tool for next job.?

Use the green handle to pull back the green slider. Use the blue eccentric to move forwards the orange shaft. Use the yellow handle to move the violet slider to the initial position.
Too many adverts spoil your videos. They are short enough as it is without them distracting the viewing.
