Only re discovered these peaceful and fascinating programmes recently..... how wonderful to see them. Jack and many like him are so sadly missed. Thanks Jack and God Bless you for this window into lovely times I remember.

I'm a retired Fish Pathologist in Oregon, and I'd like respectfully recommend what we use pump out the stomach contents of a trout, which is simply called a "trout Stomach Pump" and is sold for about $ 7.00 to $10 U. S.D. which isn't bad at all and lasts a lifetime or more!! Thank you for the Great video 😊

I believe it was Alex's farm that the Signal Crayfish escaped some 40-50 years ago, an invasive species which has devoured absolutely everything in British rivers everywhere across these isles, when there's not a lot else to eat, they eat each other. Wasn't expecting to see that.....

I wonder what Jack would make of the damage caused to the ecosystems of many of the rivers by those very signal crayfish? So much for their breeding to be a difficult art!

They don't cause that much damage. I liked his views on the Rabbit plague, Jack was spot on.

Correct! But I've always wondered why spoon it if you've caught it? The idea being I know is to decide what imitation to use in order to catch the fish. If you've already caught one you must be doing something right! What's the point?
