The truth is that they pick on the easier targets so that they can reach their quota at the end of the day. Good on Renzo for standing up for himself because there’s no need for that cop to act in the manner that he did.

Go ask for a ride along and i promise you your views on Traffic officers in Cape Town will change. In other provinces they complain that the work isn’t done sufficiently here you guys complain because the officers do a good job. You cant only expect officers to deal with issues you want them to deal with. Allow them to deal with you also if you cross the line. Its only fair.

On said ride along my opinion would change because I would see them doing something ACTUALLY productive, not targeting us because they need to meet qoutas. Because that is exactly what it is. @@uyazeantonio6072 its illegal for any officers to be given a quota as this would cause officers to unnecessarily start victimising people to reach there quota. So i don’t believe City of Cape Town would do such a thing. On the other hand i believe that is the Ghost squad and they are mandated to focus on such events, drag racing etc. Hence they drive the fast cars. There are units to deal with other issues like the taxi unit that solely focuses on public transport. Dont you think those taxi drivers also feel like “soft targets” because no matter what you say, not all of them are bad drivers. Same with this meet up. Some cars wont spin their wheels or make “donuts” in the roadway or drive without front numberplates but they unfortunately part of a group that could potentially have afew bad apples and they just need to endure the wait as the officers try and route out the bad apples. Like i said, i think its only fair. Use to share the same views as you but the closer into the fraternity you get. The more you realize that most of those guys are actually doing a great service to the community. Go drive around in Eastern Cape and see how much “cool drink” money you will pay and how much fines you will get.

Give that GTR a driver. I was holding my breath everytime that man launched.

The laws that were broken are no numberplates, yellow number plates, coloured headlights, etc. They going for easy targets! You really saying the cops should rather punish this where no lives are risked compared to actual criminals that risk everyones lives on the road? Come right!
