COPS IMMEDIATELY REGRET ARRESTING VET!

Ойын-сауық

Tonya is an Army veteran! She served 27 years, 8 months, and 9 days. She rose to the rank of Sargeant First Class. She did two tours, one in Iraq and the other in Afghanistan. She reached out to me with a video of her arrest at a DMV in Mobile, Alabama. She was arrested for Failure To Obey after refusing to stop filming. A First Amendment Right She fought and bled for. This is her story.

I served honorably as a Marine - multiple enlistments. I still choose to serve as a civilian since I got out. However, I've also made it my mission to talk all friends and family from ever joining. I have numerous health issues due to service. The VA provides little-to-no support. Plus the police in this country will still murder me without thinking twice. There's no upside to serving. Unless you're homeless and it's literally your only option, there no point in being in the military.

My late father was a decorated WW2 vet his group dropped the 82 nd airborne into St Mere Eglise in the early morning of June 6th 1944. Then fought on to Berlin. He told us cops HATE VETERANS. They proved it during traffic stops. As soon as they saw his military ID. They talked down to them, delayed the stop just to flex their power. 99% of cops are extremely insecure and fragile. He retired after 20 years as a Lt. Colonel. Then put in another 18 years in the Air Force and army as a civil servant.

Army ranking also depends on the MOS you are filling. I believe retired pay is based off of highest rank held while in the Army. She MAY have served as a Master Sergeant at some point…. Or higher.

She might have been a reservist or national guard that was deployed on temporary active duty. Nothing uncommon about that. No need to degrade someone for something we nothing about.

If you're not infantry, combat engineer or SF you're not getting promoted. If she's support like most of the Army is getting to E8 or E9 is an unrealistic dream.

I’m not sure how that stuff works. But I recall friends who graduated high school and went into the military as E-3 right off the bat. It seems like 20+ years, one might be a bit more up the ladder.

@@MH-bb2kf I can attest to that. I was in the army guard for 6 years and never had an opportunity to move above an E-4. Very little turn over in support units.

6:40 you do not have to answer that question. These are not the individuals that ultimately determine if you have access to the records you might be requesting. Their only duty at that point is to provide you with pen and paper, stamp/sign the paper, copy it for you, and file the request. Nothing more, they make it difficult on themselves for no reason... 😥
