Great stuff, I really enjoyed your theory on the cutting blades and your DIY blade location on the grinder was impressive. Given the tools that you have, you're very enginuitive. Cheers from Canada.

Absolute legend again on more details :) I'm pretty sure I've found the same, or similar granulator you use there, going for $3,700AUD. Is this roughly a 'good' price for such a unit?

More like Leg end lol,3700 sounds a bit expensive but Iam a bit out of touch with prices,I bought my granulator over 10 years ago,he had it on ebay, starting bid £1300 but it didnt sell, I offered £850 and he accepted, thanks for your comment.

Hello again , Do you have time for one of my crazy questions??? #2 copper wire , like transformers and electric motors. It's #2 because of the varnish on the wire right? If I was to add powder nitric acid in a water slide like yours , would it take the varnish off ? And make it # 1 ???

  • @corsagafa

Hello Rodney, yes its #2 because of the varnish but iam not sure if nitric has any effect on the varnish. One thing Iam sure of is that nitric acid will disolve copper or at least tarnish it,so you will still have#2 copper. As you have probably seen in some of my videos, the varnish comes straight off if you put it through the granulator.

will it work with slippery thin plastic? i want to make some plastic powder( not shredder)

  • @corsagafa

it would be hard to do because the granulator screen would have to have very small holes and I think they would get clogged up easily ,maybe you could granulate the plastic first and then use a sieve to separate the powder after. But ive never tried to make powder.

Good video can you please explain how the copper is separated from the wire automatically after crushing of the blades

Hello, yes after it has been chopped small enough,it will go through the screen and into the water chute (sluice),the flow of the water is strong enough to wash the plastic away and leave the copper behind,

Thank you for your reply sir i just saw your other i.e the water separation video, in the water chute do you use any object to settle the copper in the slide

@@sabarish1855 Hello, the only thing that helps settle the copper is the pattern on the chequer plate which can be seen in a few of my videos.this video shows it without water or copper, kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5asmKaQqbKveqw.html

0k,,I thought nitric was a bit harsh lol,I dont know much about citric acid. When I first started with water separation, I used dish soap but it would oxidise the aluminium and the copper,If I remember right its made from hydrochloric acid! my advice is stay away from acid if you want bright copper.
