One of the most important capabilities of Copilot for Microsoft 365 is extensibility, and at the heart of that extensibility toolkit is Copilot Studio. But this can be a somewhat confusing proposition right now, and it's not always entirely clear how the options you see in Copilot Studio relate to Copilot for Microsoft 365 or to the different extensibility tracks described by Microsoft.
In this video we look at what extensibility for Copilot for Microsoft 365 (Microsoft 365 Copilot) options Copilot Studio offers, which you have to look elsewhere for, and how the tools currently on show here in preview work and what they might be capable of in the future.
Specifically we look at Conversation Plugins, Prompt Plugins, Task Plugins or Flows, and Data Plugins or Connectors.

Hi Nick, I couldn't agree with you more on the confused mess facing people trying to make sense of all this. MS are playing with fire, each deployed copilot studio bot is $200 a month (25,000 queries) and if you extend using Azure Studio, Azure Ai Bot Servive or Azure Open Ai as well as using an indexed Azure database the costs can really escalate, it's an omnishambles. I keep trying to learn the skills but every time I master a part of the jigsaw is probably a phyricc achievement 😮

Certainly. These costs can add up fast. One point about custom Copilots is that the $200 is a shared allowance rather than a fixed cost per bot afaik. But regardless, the way it’s set up right now is pretty confusing imo.
