+SelvesteSand True! As information for anyone else who might go to Copenhagen: There is a metro line from the airport to city, 15 minutes, DKK36 (obviously per person), that's €4,85 or $5.50. If you take a taxi it's 17 minutes with no traffic (at night, in other words), if you're lucky it's only four times as much!

"Skål" means "bowl", but derives etymologically from the word "skal", which means shell, so it's very thinkable that "skull" shares the same origins. After all a whole lot of nouns related to life and death and everyday living (and especially travel and settlement) came into English from old Danish around the time Denmark ruled England, e.g. words such as house, cake, knife, sword - and if skull doesn't come from "skal", I'm fairly certain those two words would trace back to even older Germanic roots. HOWEVER - the reason we say "bowl!" instead of "cheers!" is that back in the day, before glasses were invented, you'd be drinking from bowls. Simple as that! :D Bonus info: When exclamating "bowl", you'd hit your bowls together as a gesture of trust, so that whatever you're drinking would be mixed into each other's bowls. That way you know that if your friend is trying to poison you, he'd have to drink poison too, which of course would make him less likely to poison you in the first place. This symbolic gesture is still common in spite of glasses being rather fragile...

I'm from Denmark and we are so spoiled here with a very high quality of food, those chicken feet looked a bit suspicious though ha ha:) The Michelin star people actually made a speciel Nordic Michelin system where restaurants outside of capitals or huge cities can get stars, because there are so many of them. Can't wait for the next video:) Have to check out that cocktail bad next time:)

I did a eurotrip earlier in August was in Copenhagen (and also stayed in Urban House!) Everyone should visit this city at least once in their life! Ans don't forge to rent a bike for sure so you can explore CPH and find a lot of beautiful hidden places :) Thanks guys for making me relive this amazing trip through your video ! Could you do a video where you tell us what kind of items you take on trips? For example means of entretainment in such long waiting times on airports and flights, backpacks... etc.

Nice video. A tip - when going to and from the airport into Copenhagen use either the Metro or the train, it is much faster and cheaper.

I stayed in that exact urban house place when I visited Copenhagen!! :D so awesome

Skål is a just a phrase and in Danish, a skål is actually a bowl for when you cooking.

Skål is the literal word for bowl, and is a reference to an old custom, where you filled a drinking bowl with mjød or øl, and then passed it around saying 'skål' as you passes your drikkeskål. And not drinking all of it was bad luck. It is rumored, that the same ritual was done with the sculls of enemies after battle, but we can't be sure.
