The cop assumed that he, a black guy wasn’t a student and probably guilty about to commit a crime! Racial profiling! He forced the student to be antagonistic and went so far to search his bag unwillingly in order to arrest him. This is something that happens frequently in US. As college cops they should have known if it was lawful to demand identification from any person be they students or not at will! If it isn’t in students regulations as the student had clearly stated, then this is clearly public intimidation and harassment! Tell me what then is the difference between US and any other Communist country or police martial law state where even common human rights are frequently abused! Remember the Chinese authorities have already accused us of frequent incidents regarding minorities especially blacks by our justice system!

As I’m talking to her she gets a call over the radio & we just keep talking. Then 3 university cars pull up & approach us & asked me if I was a student & I asked them y? They said we need to see if & I asked y? Then the security guard goes on to tell them I’m a student & I asked her please not to interrupt. Again I asked them y? Supposedly someone claimed there was an attempted break in about 30 minutes ago & I fit the description. I showed them my I’d but by then I knew they were on bs. I told all 3 of them they were on total racist bs & as I started to talk he tried to interrupt me & I literally yelled in his face & called him a fat f*cker & told him to stfu. He gets mad & they all leave. 5 mins later a hood friend of mine comes down stairs & tells me about his encounter with security & how they accused him of a break in & he fits the description. Me & him look totally different. He was light bright & damn near white with a head of moppy curly hair. Next day I went & filed a formal complaint & after I got my copy & I also told them they were fos as well.

In this specific instance this officer isn't enforcing the law, he's enforcing his ego.

For reals. It’s Step 1 of the 10-step program that leads to “STOP RESISTING” as they’re beating the living crap out of you. Giving an order to take hands out of pockets is a cheap and easy means to get a win on the cop’s side. “See I have authority here” Because if you don’t take your hands out if your pockets, they have license to escalate and subdue you in the name of “officer safety”.

Cops told me the property line of Mission Ranch in Carmel extended across a main road used by hundreds of parents to drop their kids off at elementary school. Do they all have specific permission from Clint Eastwood to drive through his property twice a day?! Sheriff confiscated my vehicle, after rummaging through my belongings and throwing some of my things on the side of the road. Then they demanded my car keys, and when I refused they snatched them out of my hand, and towed my vehicle 30 miles away. You don't need keys to tow a vehicle.
