I have a Nike 19"x10" but for a face mask it's too much material around my neck. It feels better when it's the over the head mask but also kind of suffocating. It's polyester spandex with a sewn seam that puts pressure on the back of my neck. They make a shorter Mission 10.5"x9 I may have to try. The Nike was only $15 which surprised me. High quality. Thicker than what the Mission looks like. That's the only thing these are too thin to be considered PPE. But better than nothing in the summer. I've worn Underarmour caps under my hats for years it does keep the head cool.

My thoughts are that a roughly 10 degree difference is really good. That said, 15 or 20 degrees cooler would obviously be more ideal, especially for those who live near the equator. You take what you can get though, and this is definitely worth owning in my book. Bought one today and it makes a very noticeable difference, and it's pretty stylish too. I love the thing and would very highly recommend it for everyone.

I bought mine online directly from Mission. I bought this as a mask, I'd tried the material / over your ears cloth ones. I felt like I was fighting for breath not too long in with the others but the Mission was thin and cooling breathing in AND my glasses didn't fog. I've bought another one just for a color change. This is just for being in public to meet mandated requirements.

Nice review. I saw their ad on TV and was hoping that someone on KZread would review it. $20 does seem like a lot for this item, however, it does seem to do what they say it does and if it's washable and reusable then maybe $20 isn't all that bad. The first time I used a Mission cooling product was provided by my workplace. I instantly fell in love with their products. Now that they have expanded their line, I ordered three of their neck gaiters online and then came to find out, Lowes Home Improvement was selling them. I went ahead and bought one from Lowes, and it is absolutely the best neck gaiter I have used. It fits me well, and when I'm at work, I wet the bottom portion which wraps around my neck while keeping the top dry to stay in code with COVID-19 to reduce droplets from seeping through the fabrics.

I live in Houston and am always in and out of my work vehicle (so my body rarely gets to regulate it's temperature). @@Jeffreviews4u These are fairly decent. I ran across some Half-gaiters for half the cost(9.99) at Home Depot and wound up purchasing 4 of them for all the days I work. They work (but not for 2 hours in Houston heat) but I like them because I can constantly wash them in soap and water so that I can half a clean "mask" when speaking to customers. The downside to it is that is tends to hold the sweat smell after you wash them (washing machine). All in all, they do the trick.

One thing to keep in mind is that they cool via evaporation. Sure, you can put cold water on it and allow that to keep you cool but the evaporative materials don't start working as quickly. Another issue is how well they function, will depend on the humidity of the environment you are in. In high humidity regions, the air is more saturated, meaning you'll get less evaporation from the fabric. Less evaporation means less cooling.

I did however, have the same issue with it hurting my nose, but I folded it like you said & no more pain. Thanx!! And fyi, it's not recommended for stopping the spread of the rona, b/c it's so thin, but you can probably put a towel in it, to act as a filter & I'm guessing that should help.

@@Jeffreviews4u you welcome. It's funny to me how people expect the Arctic Air coolers to cool down a room like an air conditioner and then they get mad and call it junk when it doesn't. For me, the Arctic Air coolers are only designed to cool down a little your personal space.

Sure this may be comfortable to some degree but they still can’t beat some tech masks. I just ordered a Philip fresh air mask with a fan that can be set on three modes and a n95 filter. Basically it doesn’t even feel like you have a mask on and can breathe almost close to normal. I’ll definitely never go back to neck gaiters or those regular surgical masks. Just being informative here
