Thank you for the review. It's amazing how much higher the standards for chassis are today than they were 5 years ago. It is a little strange that Cooler Master didn't incorporate some of the lessons of very similar cases that have come out recently. Lian Li had the same issue with the 200mm front fans.

I just bought this case. I moved the front fans to the top and my AIO to the front. I have 5 fans in front. I swapped out the gpu fan with an EK AIO fan. I also wired both 200mm fans to mobo so they won’t mess with other fans. Pretty solid when you swap things around but your review was what saved me from using the hub with fans. Thanks.

A HAF branded product from Cooler Master, where half the airflow is being blocked by the chassis, that's disappointing! I still have an old school HAF 912, which now functions as my PLEX server, and it still just works. It really seems that Cooler Master should kill the HAF branding if they miss the mark this badly. Like putting glass in front of the fans, putting huge slabs of metal behind limits airflow, making a mockery of the HIGH AIR FLOW branding.

Still rocking the HAF X case/Dust Collector

Very nice case. I owned one of the original monster HAF cases years ago.

A consice review, and I'd say you're fairly spot on with your thoughts about this case. I'm still using my HAF 500 from 2014. Yes, it's 10 years old and still all working flawlessly. I can't fault the case in any way. I have removed the HDD cage and angled fan and that seems to keep the RTX 3070 cool. The old CPU (i7-4790) works hard whilst playing Sackboy or Cyberpunk but temps have always stayed below mid 40s Deg C. Still using the original 2 x 200mm fans and the rear 140mm fan. I can heartily recommended this case.😂

So close, yet so many issues. I really wanted to like it. As a photo/video editor, I love the easy front access to the 3.5" drives. As a guy who mines with his GPU, I also like the 200mm fans, but they are HAlF blocked. And that that silly GPU fan is...ugh. Time to order my Meshify 2. Thanks for this review tho!

The phrase you were looking for is 'HAF - Arsed'. There seems to be something in the Cooler Master house ethos to get to a plateau of goodness and then fall off the mountain altogether. Rubbish? Not HAF! How the hell can you name a case as Hgh Air Flow and NOT design it around the fans that make it so? How can you name a case HAF and fail to deliver the aesthetic associated with the name? It would serve them right if Thermaltake ripped this off... and did it properly!🙃

There were some rather odd design choices in there, and to me it kinda came across as someone being in a board meeting somewhere saying "We should revive the HAF brand again!" and then slapped this together in a backroom somewhere.

So I'll just stick to my HAFx then

The fan you can tilt in the middle looks bloody awful.

Such a shame, it had the potential to be a nice case but they didn't think it through.

This Case is pretty shitty to be honest - so much mistakes as far as design and functionality are concerned. Cooler Master can do it better, it‘s a shame they didn‘t! Excellent Review, thank you so much Tom ✊🏻

Funny.... You and the other 2 reviews I saw called this what it is... Level 1 techs was singing praises.. it was like a paid ad. Also, front airflow is more than a third blocked it is clearly over HAF ..lol
