Many thanks to your install instructions, especially how to put the roller pin into the idle end with the plastic plug part.

Wish you had shown some of the drilling process and how the bottom could have been anchored.

just got mine today. I believe you can adjust the hanger’s position. And you could hang it “up side down” like how you wanted initially. Behind the backplate, there are 3 screws, untight them to adjust the direction.

Thinking about installing this on the inside of a sunroom to keep heat and UV down.

Just installed this exact same shade, but as a top mount (pull down). There are a few screws on the back of the brackets to change the orientation of the mechanism. You can also change the wand control from right side to left side. Hope that helps you, since you wanted to instal it "upside down" but thought you couldn't. Probably too late now though :-)

Yeah, as soon as I saw it mounted I knew that bracket was adjustable. lol. I've mounted lots of blinds and they all have multiple ways to be hung/attached. Inside corners, top mount, side mount, etc.

Yes, because then it would hang down next to the pillar and block access to the pool. It's a tight space

Are both sides of the shade the same? Or is the back side the only UV blocking side? (I have installation issues and may have to install the other way around, with the outside part of the roll facing the sunny side.) Thanks!

It is yeah. It is not fixed, but a hook. So you can easily remove if you want

It doesn't pull down, you have to use the handle to raise or lower it

You can tie it down, but yeah it's not ideal when it's anything more than a light breeze.

@@ScottAllison I think she meant snapping the shade into the mounts. If it’s like a normal window shade - one side into a hole, the other into a slot - that should be easy enough. But it would have been helpful to show that.

This was more of unboxing. I needed more detail info about how to modify the brackets so you can mount it from the ceiling. The instructions are vague in the box.
