തിളനില ഉയർത്തുന്നത് അല്ല coolantന്റെ പ്രധാന ധർമ്മം. തിളനില ഉയർത്തുന്നത് pressure ക്യാപ് ആണ്. Coolantലെ പ്രധാന കടകമായ etheleyne glycol coolantinte thermal conductivity കൂട്ടുവാണ് ആണ്. വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ thermal conductivity കുറവാണു. അത്‌ പോലെ corrosion resistant ആക്കാനും. Boiling പോയിന്റ് കാര്യമല്ല.
