Agreed! I’ve been compared to baseball players my whole life as less than. Absolutely soooo not true that softball players in general but pitchers as we are taking about here. It’s such a weird motion. Now hitting I’m going to honest😬 as a gal who played baseball for 2 years it’s dang hard to hit a baseball especially when coming from softball Lol! Jmo 🤷‍♀️ but pitching Hell nah it’s legit!

Agree with why we separate by sexes and agree it would be interesting to watch but I also think you’re grossly underestimating softball players ESPECIALLY if you’re saying the best in the world. She even said how she would have a hard time hitting a baseball. All she did was say that the form for pitching in softball is odd and therefore difficult to achieve correctly. Both sports have their merits. Stop being weirdo.

She looks calm because she’s waiting until the last second to really fully put force into that swing. Adding that extra “pop” or rotation, that’s where the power comes from, but ONLY IF YOURE RELAXED. I’m a martial artist and im speaking more so from that standpoint, but the same concepts apply 🤷🏼‍♀️

I played at school in the 70’s back then pitchers weren’t allowed to put their arms over their heads. So we had to have more power in our forearms & hand

Pro means professional, which means a paid occupation. To pay someone you need money coming in. MLB or women's MLB? No way you're going to generate the revenue needed to sustain a pro team.

I loved playing soft ball, especially 3rd base and out field. So much respect for pitchers, though. They have to grind so hard to improve

My wife was a beast in softball. Played pitcher and catcher. Took a cleat to the ankle at home plate, saw bone and passed out. Came to and asked if she got the runner out. She did. Passed back out.

I think this chick is from Vegas. That’s her mom on phone in background. Has an older sister that won a championship at Florida and caught for team USA. She’s gotta twin that can play too. These girls are the real deal man. They can play with the best of em. Hell, they are the best of em. If it’s same girls/fam I’m thinking of.

In Chicago we use bigger balls..I think it’s 16” and we don’t use gloves😊 Softball is one of the reasons I love Chicago. We have so much fun

We have adult softball leagues here (NC). They do men’s, women’s, coed and 50+ leagues. It’s soooo much fun! I can’t handle fast pitch. They introduced it my junior year and it was mandatory my senior year. It ate my shoulders up so I stuck with being a part of the training staff lol

I really don't think most understand the dedication and commitment it takes to develop the skill level she's achieved. Fast pitch baseball, IMO, is so much easier.

@@xinalorreen2031I’m almost certain it’s a curve because if you look at her leading foot when she throws it, it isn’t straight out from where she started, which is how you are supposed to position your feet for curves.
