As an other proud E93 owner I can say that you shouldn't open/close your roof with the engine off. It uses a lot of battery power and if it isn't fully charged and cuts power to the electric motors it can cause catastrophic failure in your roof mechanism(your roof will fall on the car).

The SE chrome trim looks great with the silver car. Especially against the black tinted windows

I cringe when you shut the trunk like that!! Close it gently it has a auto close feature so you don't have to slam it down...

Yes, these have soft close feature, wish it had it for the doors.

by the way it's is ill advised to move your convertible up or down when the engine is not running it takes way too much battery power! Now wheel spacers . black out the front Markers and Grill and you have Amazing !!! Very Nice Package Dude!

Those wheels are sick! I have the E93 330i M-Sport in the same colour with Black 19" 405M wheels. Lowered about 25mm. I need those wheels!!!

Alright mate. I have another question, slightly unrelated. Do you happen to know how to get my e93 convertable side lights to come when unlocking it with a fob. I dont have idrive... not sure its possible without it.

It,s in the dash menu. Press and hold the turn signal button in until the menu shows up on the dash.

shouldn't those windows be all the way down ?

nice car, i have black one. but i can open my roof from +20meter distance even further when i put my key on my chin. I cant close it with my key tho :(

Its possible for 2007 models. After 2008 you can not close

Great looking car. Just bought one yesterday. Does the car come with a jack? Lug wrench? Also mine has a small space under the trunk carpet with nothing in it. What goes there?

Nope, none of that with this car. I bought mine 5 years ago now. I was confused at first as well. There is no spare. Your options are to either get run flat tires, or don’t and get a tow when one goes out. I will also mention that I garaged mine for two years because I was flat out sick of getting new tires as I went through 17 in a three year period. Come to find out someone along the way managed to stick the wrong size tires on my rear rims. This cars has a wider tire on the rear. Someone along the way installed the size for the front tires on the rear so no wonder I went through so many. I took it out of the garage a few months the ago, got the correct tires installed and haven’t had one issue yet. So just be aware of that. You can’t rotate them, front and back are different sizes.

Dude thats sick. Do they all do that? I bought one 3 weeks ago and didn't know they did that!! I've got a 320d m sport convertable 2013. Its snowing right now... otherwise I'd stop being lazy and go try it!

most convertible bmw has this option , just stand near 3ft away and hold open door button on remote , press once then again and hold until the tops goes fully down ! if that doesn't work then your bmw does not have the smart module built in it . cheers

minor issues only 328i are more reliable then 335i w twin turbo , most common when 100k miles are oil leaks in valve cover gasket

Yes get it checked for leaks I just bought one with 94k miles for 6.9k turns out it had valve cover gasket leak along with oil pan gasket link. Luckily I know someone that fixed it for a good price but just be sure to get it inspected

I’m driving BMW since 20 years. They always leak from oil sump and valve cover gasket. So don’t make it depended on that. Always bring a scan tool with you when buying a BMW. Test drive first (hard) and then scan the car. Best convertible with a hard top. As BMW owner you have to accept those 5 things that always break and need fixing. But great and fun cars to drive.

Don’t listen to people that say bmw’s are not reliable especially ppl who never owned one I own a 2007 328i e93 and the car has 160k miles runs amazing but as everyone says the valve cover does leak and make sure you don’t use cheap parts
