I agree, because they showed the person catching snowflakes and they said that there would be different seasons, so hopefully we can get mushrooms and some fish from different seasons as well. The only thing is that they might be making it so that it’s only the opposite season to your island? I kinda hope not lol

My big wish is that they didn't mention adding berries! That'd be awesome! Imagine having some blueberry bushes around your island, flowering and making berries to make into pies!!

I was also hoping that they’d bring back all of the fruits they had in previous games. This is my first animal crossing game I’ve played, but I’ve seen people mention that the older games had much more fruit, like lemons, lychee, grapes, bananas, mangoes, etc.

Maybe we will use weeds as greens for some of our dishes? It’ll probably be something simple like the way clay is being used for every ceramic or glass component in the current crafting recipes.

But when Franklin comes for Thanksgiving, will there be something where you cook something to bring to the table? I've been thinking a lot about this and no one has really talked about it.

SPOILERS?????? I time skipped and apparently you just give him various ingredients to cook his dishes, except this time you also get these featured recipes in return. Villagers are also cooking in their houses instead of crafting, and can give you a request to get an ingredient they need in order to trade you an ingredient you might not have.

3:32 With Kapp'n you go to islands from a different season so you can find mushrooms there when it's not fall on your island. Tomatoes, wheat, sugarcane, potatoes, carrots AND MORE....How can this not be that there is more vegetables? I cant explain it any other way than that there is more vegetables than they showed us..

the 'guacamole' was mushy peas a common thing served alongside fish and chips in the UK, and the 'cherry pie' was without question a quiche so they probably were tomatoes

An interview confirmed there are no items locked behind hhp exept for the ones they explicitly mentioned, just thought i should let you know :)

3:25 Nintendo solved this by reintroducing Kapp'n and Boat Tours. So in the other seasons, you can just take some tours and pick up mushrooms on a mushroom island. Rather than wait nearly a year to stock up.

I've already discussed with my sister and we've both agreed to clear out the right side of our flower field for the farm (since the pumpkins were already there) I still don't think we're prepared with the space 😅

I feel you. I have to clean my island from all the flowers, grass and random objects that were left here and there on my island. My island was a flower field with random objects around. My cleaning isn't done yet. I still jave a lot to do.

The pastel items at 4:21 …. I AM IN LOVE. I’m so desperate for this update and they cooking is so ajsjsjyj and we can make cakes maybe!? My merengue will be so delighted with her pastry shop!

The first minute of the trailer got me re-obsessed with animal crossing. Also I am not done with my island the only thing done is the entrance so I have space for a farm. Omg I’m excited.

The whole thing about the greens and milk-based products made me think of Tales series, where the characters could fail to make sandwiches where the ONLY ingredient is "bread"... I was thinking about peppers before you mentioned it, since some dishes and items have peppers in them... Maybe some in the food jars with the pickles? and iirc the frying pan has stir fry! So I'd love peppers. I'm so excited about the crops, I have plenty of space for it bc I have about five areas with pumpkins right now... I've been waiting for more farming-related items and especially crops to go with my original idea for my island theme. It was named after a story of mine, but I abandoned the idea due to lack of farming items from previous games. This absolutely is a game changer. My island can finally just be that, instead of me bouncing between lots of flowers or spooky horror themes. I CAN HAVE MY WITCH GARDENING OC HAVEN YAY

Manila Clams would be great to use as an ingredient since we did that for the clam chowder Franklin asked us to help with during the Turkey Day event :D

Lmao, I've done the same thing with my farm area and now I have huge patches of dirt to look at for the next couple of weeks until we get the new crops

I have an all rabbit island so I'm gifting them all carrots in the morning

I've seen multiple people call the food item at 6:50 cherry pie but I'm like 95% sure it's quiche??? although that does make me wonder where we would get EGGS

I think a portion of DIY recepies for food can be acquired from Nooks, in the direct, when they show where you can buy the DIY for the ladder (the new one) you can see a boundle of recepies with the whip image, it costs 4980 bells!

@@thequeenofpandorica5885 haha same ! I watched all of my favorite youtubers reactions and analyses, then I dissected every seconds of the direct, took notes and formed millions of hypothesis 🤣🤣

When I first got the game (May 2021), I really thought that you would be able to cook. I spent my most of my bells on an oven and even saved some of my fish for cooking. And then when that oven didn’t work, I bought different ones in hopes that something would happen. This is definitely the feature that I’m most looking forward to, since it’s something I’ve wanted to do since the beginning.

My sincere hope is the addition of new fruits or vegetables, along with new and seasonal DIY recipes for cooking. That’d be everything I want. And bulk crafting for wheat/sugar/fish bait lol

This video really expanded my excitement for the update! I’m personally most excited about the HHD-esque update. I’ve missed designing rooms for points. I change designs in my main room in my house several times, but am really stoked about designing villagers homes and cafes etc.

I love all the details you showed in this. So many things I overlooked Looking forward to the other videos.

Hey Koramora, a fun fact for you: Lief's sigh says "yasai" in a stylized Japanese handwriting, which means "vegetable(s)" :) Also that pumpkin is probs green to reference the green pumpkins and kabocha!

one line of normal villager dialogue gives a lot of random foods :0 i did some talking to my normal babies and they mentioned kimchi, carbonara, grilled tofu, and cornbread !!!! i wonder if these elude to future recipes??

One of the extra crops that we have found hidden in the direct was peppers, but we are most likely to get lemons, durians, and bananas ( and i doubt we are ever getting the leachies back )

Food theory, all the missing crops from the recipies are seasonal crops lile how shrubs flower for a certain time, you have your always crops and then others certain times of the year

9:22 during a interview with IGN, Nintendo stated no item is gonna be exclusive to Happy Home Paradise.

I already terraformed and transitioned my pumpkin patch into a farm. Since I wanted to still have a pumpkin patch I made 8 garden spots and a separate pumpkin patch. But since only 7 new foods were shown I planted “corn” (yellow hyacinths) in one in the back. Really hoping we get pepper tbh because it will annoy me that one of them isn’t actually an In game food

This update is gonna be really fun for my and my sibling because we worked together to get a switch lite and another copy of acnh so that we could have a personal farm/off island storage place without messing up our normal island aesthetics. This was a while ago and when we both had decorated our islands in a way that we couldn't add pumpkins to without it looking/feeling wrong to us, but now I have a newly reset island that I get to grind for nook miles on lol

I just cleared my island and was planning on having a HUGE farm area again so this update comes at the perfect time

2:23, yes, just like our Villagers give us DIY recipes, i believe they will also give us more cooking recipes for us to cook

hoping we get more crops than just the ones they showed, it would be so cool to get seasonal fruits like strawberries, bananas, grapes, lemons, etc. i can already imagine having a bakery or smoothie stand on my island if they did that. it would be cool to have more vegetables or grains like rice, peppers (as you said), cucumbers, and maybe bean plants or something. that could introduce the possibility of milk/dairy type products without bringing up the question of "is it ethical to milk your villagers?" lmao edit: eggplants and onions would also be cool crops to add. AND can you imagine being able to grow your own coffee beans or cocoa beans for brewster's cafe? I'm getting way too excited for things that probably won't be in the game 😔

7:44 I think the update could very well include bell peppers. For one, I don't see the developers making a sign like that and lying to us. For another, it was kinda fun planting pumpkin starts and seeing what colors came up.

I would like to point out that in the direct the last item shown on the nookphone is a fish if you zoom in on the image you can see two little lemons so I strongly believe we will get a new/returning fruit, The Lemon!

I’ve got a theory that the new foods will also be good uses for furniture diys because we saw veggie baskets in the middle of the direct, like the fruit basket I can’t craft because I don’t have Nintendo online to get my other fruits lmao

By the looks of it, it'll probably be around 50 new food recipes. I got this just by measuring the scroller and then using multiplication (my god, all those years of studying math was actually useful)

I totally agree that I hope that recipes etc. will unlock bit by bit and that a lot of the new furniture (like the one that's made from vines ) will be DIYs, too. I love all this stuff but getting it all in one swoop would defeat the purpose of playing the game and really seeing progress again.

This is the last major update but I feel like if there are any more 'minor' updates it'll include new furniture and crops. Might be fairly easy to implement once the system is there.

I would love to make different recipes to gift to my villagers. I like to think each villager will have a different favourite dish but that’s gonna have to more in my imagination than in the actual game

I wish they could make the pipes from the mario addition more usable, like give me some red ones so i can have two different teleports, cause trying to use the green ones if you have more then two just gets complicated

I'm nervous we're going to have to use the wheat and sugarcane crops to craft the flour and sugar one at a time like we do now with clams and fish bait.

I‘m so happy, I Made a Candy Store and there is basically just a lollipop, an ice cream, a cotton Candy and cakes, it looks so boring. I am so happy for it to acually look nice!!!

My island is good, I was in the beginning of decorating after flattening the island. What I need to prepare is my bank account to get that 5k storage 😅 if the expansions are treated like the one currently in game, that's a one time, paid up front fee and that's easily $1M in upgrades

I wonder if we need to buy furniture like spice cabinets and refrigerators and we have to go to nooks cranny weekly to stock our fridge and spice cabinets, and when cooking it consumes a use, though i highly doubt they'd go this far into a cooking system...

The good thing is that there's no school on Nov 5th sooo I'm gonna have a GOOD weekend!!

Ohh. We also have sushi and ssshimi plate!!??? Now I can finish my sushi bar with the proper furnitures/decou. I missed alot of stuff during that direct.. 🤣
