I think it’s pretty obvious who betrayed Black pearl. The only person who has a treasure of the Black Pearl presumably hers and can swindle their way with promises is Oyster. It also explains why she didn’t destroy what was supposedly a ship belonging to house oyster. Talk about but the elders being really corrupt

My theory: Since Black Pearl said her wrath is a century old, Oyster can't have betrayed her. Instead, maybe House Oyster's ancestors? They might have got their eyes on the Black Pearl now currently in House Oyster's treasury, and befriended Black Pearl Cookie just to get it During their time with Black Pearl, she might have started to develop feelings for them After that, House Oyster's ancestors stole what they wanted and left Black Pearl forever, never to be seen again Since then, Black Pearl's rage built up inside her, and turned her into who we see today, letting out her hate on the Cookies she despised from anger Even then, she's still a lil desperate, since she still had a pinch of feelings for them, and even kept one of House Oyster's ships after she sunk it, now beautifully well kept and treasured on top of the century old pile of wrath she created (Sorry for the behemoth of an essay I created lmao)

Theory: i believe oyster betrayed black pearl. In a cut scene caviar was talking about a ship that very much looks like the ships of house oyster. While he was saying that the ship we were seing on screen was the one on the very top. Later after caviar said to black pearl: "along with all this debri, that one singular ship is on the very top. Almost as if your cherishing it or it reminds you of someone." Or along those lines. Black pearl was enraged after that. Further proof is that oyster owns an item that very much reassembles black pearl. Even the description fits it. So in conclusion i belive that oyster betrayed black pearl by possibly leaving her but left a ship, then black pearl gave oyster a pearl to remind her of black pearl. And even after years black pearl is still hoping she will come back. Hoping the first ever cookie to ever understand her will comeback. However after the years even if she very much loves oyster. She cant help but think oyster realy left her. And so her anger grew and grew. To this point in time.

I remembered in Black Pearl's loading screen it says something about 'if a mermaid loose their pearls, then they will fall to the darkness of the sea' or something close like that. What if Oyster actually stole Black Pearl true, clean, irridescent pearl away from her that turned her into the monster she is now? If so, Oyster said grand scheme seems to lead as either a bargain for loyalty (most unlikely, but remains a possibility) or eradicating Black Pearl for good so that no one will ever threaten her sea trades bussiness ever (most likely?)

She must've been young when she stole it and when that old ship was sailing with her on it, she must've told black pearl how she didn't remember whatever promise they had. Either that or oyster promised to bring it back but forgot.

Maybe the cookie Black Pearl was friends with was Oyster or maybe she had feelings for a different cookie who broke her heart. She is doing this all out of anger and pain, not to be a horrible cookie. She just needs to be fixed :>

A theory: Oyster in her decor and on clothes has white pearl right- We can see in Black Pearl islands a mermaid, when we choose +crit,atk, etc.. Actually, I think it's might have been someone from House Oyster. Captain Caviar described the ship as bearing the symbol of House Oyster but of an older model. Perhaps one of Oyster Cookie's ancestor was on that ship along Black Pearl Cookie, and something happened that sunk the ship and turned Black Pearl Cookie into what she is now. Oyster Cookie might actually have known this story and sent Captain Caviar to confirm her suspicion.

Oyster almost definitely betrayed Black Pearl. Remember in the “House Oysters Collection/Luxuries”? One of the items was a “Lustrous Black Pearl” . The description was "A black pearl from the depths of the sea. You may marvel at its luster, but beware: its dark shade will carry you to the endless abyss of the pitch black sea." Which sort of means that it belongs to Black Pearl since shes from the depths of the sea (and also the name suggests otherwise). It’s probably not that specific pearl she’s after, since black pearls likely show up often in the Duskgloom Sea, but perhaps Oyster has something else that Black Pearl wants. Another theory is that Oyster made a promise to help Black Pearl Cookie by saying maybe like “If I save/help you, you give me black pearls (or whatever) in exchange” but Oyster betrayed BP after accumulating enough luxuries and broke the promise? Idk just a theory.

Black pearl was probably just a normal, kind-hearted mermaid who served as a protector of the sea (like the lore about them says), but either oyster or her ancestors betrayed her by stealing her pearl, cursing her into descending to the dark abyss, and now wants revenge on all cookies for what they've done to her. I know there's corruption amongst the republic elders/houses, but damn oyster is just messed up. Hell I think all the pearls used for the cookie legion were from other mermaids they betrayed, and unlike black pearl, those perished in the abyss, hence why we didn't see more mermaids till now, like what the hell man.

I was right on a theory about her used to be good So she got betrayed which led her to this. Got betrayed by Oyster's ancestors. In her description, she has a century old wrath which means.. It's been a hundred years That's why that specific ship is not damaged, she's close to it I don't know why there's a photo of Captain Ice tho

after rewatching the part when cap cavier was looking at the shrunken ships, the fact that he recognized that one of them was similar to house oyster's models and was left presumably unharmed gives me an idea that it could also be oyster after all in the beginning she did asked him to give her any info on what's happening in that area of the sea + in her decors, specially the fountain, a statue of a mermaid can be seen

This is what I think about candy diver cookie, Candy diver is a cookie who is looking for his friend after they traveled to the dusk gloom sea while they were adventuring they forgot where they were so candy diver headed to the sparkling corals but his friend was not there so for years candy diver cookie kept searching for his friend not knowing that his friend had died because of black pearl cookie, candy diver kept searching for his friend not knowing that his dough had already melted from staying in the dusk gloom sea for so long when he realized it he never tried taking off his helmet years had past and candy diver still thought his friend was alive so when he saw captain caviar he had hope that his friend may be alive but saw that it was captain caviar when captain caviar considered candy diver cookie as his friend it reminded candy divers friend and because of that they were able to leave when captain caviar requested that he take off his helmet he was hesitant but decided to do it leaving captain caviar in shock that his dough had melted and he was a wandering ghost who left his helmet on candy diver decided to keep diving into the dusk gloom sea to help other cookies just like he did with captain caviar

I think the friend might have become a ghost too Woah, there are many types of ghosts in cookie run: a ghost that is just like the alive cookie (onion), a ghost that is a white version of the alive cookie (pirate), a ghost that is different from the alive cookie (white ghost), a ghost that is a spirit (sherbet) and now candy diver. it iss he approached her and in return for his voice she gave him the ability to turn into cookie so now while in his cookie form he only goes ooOOoOOoOoOoOooOOOOo, additional note: in their interaction sorbet shark cookie doesnt mind losing his voice at all and is happy to become a cookie

The true story: White pearl gave lord oyster her pearl. Black pearl was used to live in tearcrown. Black pearl as white pearl was trying to have strength and powers from a sea fairy tear. However, Absorbing the sea fairy tear has negative effects. Which happened to octopus cookie. Which turned octopus cookie into abyss monarch. And white pearl absorbed the sea fairy tear. Which shattered the sea fairy tear and was nowhere to be seen. Turning white pearl into his dark self. Maybe that's why black pearl felt betrayed and wants to kill anything for thise who set foot on HIS sea.

U were right up until the end, yes she gave lord oyster her Pearl and yes she absorbed the sea fairy tear but before that happened lord oyster had given (well sold) the Pearl to his enemy so that he could help restore house oysters reputation, he regretted his decision cause he did care for white Pearl cookie (i think he loved or had feeling a for her) but when she found out what he did she was mad and didn’t let him explain, then afterwards she absorbed the sea fairy tear and turned into black Pearl cookie

@@Mx_Rabbit I'm not sure if it was fake..she could of been crying before they showed up, but she started laughing as she was getting ready to wreck another ship (wrecking ships seems to make her feel better or at least take her mind off the pain of betrayal).

The truth: White Pearl Cookie liked Lord Oyster but at some point after giving him her pearl, he sold it to Captain Abalone Cookie his partner... that's when Lord Oyster went insane for the sea treasures... to the point she gets corrupted by painful realisations that the Land cookies r toxic and unforgiving to the point she used her home dormain's Sea Fairy's tear against the assailants... hence her current state, she STILL hates them

Spoilers but if you do Holliday cake event (2022) there will be a scene where Captain Caviar invites Oyster to sit on a ship deck and eat a cake with him and his crew. His crew is expecting noble woman to refuse such offer as it not noble like to eat a cake on a deck. But she agrees without a moment hesitation. That makes me believe that she was a sailor herself. Thus photo of a sailor on Black Pearl screen. It’s not Captain Ice cookie. It’s young Oyster wearing same uniform. I believe that house oyster is somewhat “young” maybe only one generation old. Maybe Oyster was a sailor as a teen or young adult, stole Black Perl’s Pearl got some money and created noble house. She can be up to 80 years old (but just very healthy so she’s looking fresh). Thus the “century old grudge”. It’s not exactly 100 years, but maybe 50-60.

The character and design of the silent sea is incredible specially the new character black pearl cookie who has the power and manipulation of water Wich means that she can take any shape of water and make the crew suffer in silence,I love her regardless on how evil she might be

I'm pretty Oyster made a promise to Black Pearl Cookie but she had to leave her ship behind and Black Pearl cookie was waiting for her return and kept it in good conditions, thats why it still looks brand new. Probably years passed she was frustrated and her frustration turned into anger.

Why do I like this story so much?

Black pearl cookie was once of the kind mermaids out there , but oyster broke it bc she value precious Valuables more than friendship,she literally broke the promise,she did not think some town would be in danger bc of it,for now..She kept thinking of what happened to her and personality..her looks,and everyone that despises her,Sheesh..sometimes elders arent thinking a second thought,or research,i mean they are mature adult,how could they broke a promise to an mermaid?Its absurd,yet she got betrayed,but she still have oyster cookie ship,thats why she values that only 1 ship bc it reminds her only friend..Oyster cookie,Bc no one dares to visit the sea,bc it is quite dangerous to see,But 1 greedy cookie,the black pearl,she visited the see to get the pearl,make black/white pearl cookie trust her bc of her high expectations,shes maybe so happy that she finally got a friend..
