By pure chance, the first 30 minutes of this video is centred around the area near the hotel I stayed in, years ago (Muri Beach Club Hotel) and it was fantastic! It's great to see it, and recognise my room, here. Thanks for the video. The Cook Islands really is paradise, with amazing natural beauty and weather, and really friendly locals, with little crime. I wish I could live there.

Today, the Cook Islands are probably one of our most remote and desirable destinations on the map. The Cook Islands truly feels like a blend of Kauai and Bora Bora, years ago before no one knew about them.

I just groused on another KZread post, that post (not yours!) also featuring 4K drone footage of the Cook Islands. That drone video was way too fast and choppy, constant changes of pace, herky-jerky more than peaceful. Now this one on the other hand, as well as the one you posted of Aitutaki, is perfect, ideal, and exactly what I'm talking about. Slow, languid, peaceful, real-time relaxation. This is how it's done! You get it, Alejandro. Not everyone does. It's cold, dark, wet and rainy where I am right now, so thank you for posting this.

On what days were you there shooting this video?! We were "stranded" in the Cook Islands from 15.March 2020 to 16 June 2020. We rented the house at @1:21 (far left in frame with blue roof) for about a month. I saw a drone flying over while there and stood outside and waved at it! (I thought it was maybe a police drone)

Fun fact: it's only 32km around the island "Kia Orana" is the official greeting in Cook islands Maori and actually means "may you live long" otherwise "hello/welcome" Free parking, except for those ones that say "private home"🤣 English is strongly spoken there, so dont be scared as if noones going to understand you. Reality is, the language is slowly fading hence why I'm speaking in english. Yes I'm a failure 😒🤣 We have coins that come in different shapes such as a $2 would be a triangle and a $1 would be like a.....like....uhh a squiggly line and both in gold plated. Also we have $5 coins in a shape of an octagon. The reason being is so that when you drop your coins it doesn't roll. That's why. Another is well, there's nothing dangerous in terms of poisonous insects, or snakes, nothing at all. Lastly, if the locals are talking in Maori, just say this. "Puaka" really loud pronounced as "poo-are-car" 🤣🤣🤣 and watch them react.🤣🤣🤣

Eh pukka e koe lol. All correct except the poisonous part. The Veritara- centipede bite/stings are often painful and longer lasting than bee stings. The No'u- stone fish, stepping on one will ruin your whole trip. Often camouflaged in the lagoon as rocks. The pain of 1 sting = 50 wasp/bee stings. Sea snakes- highly venomous, amongst the highest in the world. Eh Emily, akari mai te au mea pouroa kia kore koe e taravake I te tangata.
