I have followed him forever. Conway respected women and knew his career would take off if he focused on what women want to hear. His songs were directed to that. Conway was happily married until the day he died. Conways career started back in the late 50's in rock and roll and then progressed to country. He was one of a kind!! By the way, Conway only had 1 or 2 actual videos, the rest were live performances. He did not like doing videos.

"Twitty was married four times, to three different women. His first marriage, to Ellen Matthews, lasted from 1953 to 1954. They had married because Ellen was pregnant with their son, Michael. His second, and longest, marriage was to Temple "Mickey" Medley. They were married in 1956 and had three children: Kathy, Joni Lee, and Jimmy Twitty. The couple were divorced in early 1970, but they remarried quietly by the end of 1970. By 1984, after 28 years of marriage on and off, the stress of Twitty's frequent absences took its toll on Mickey, and she and Conway divorced for good. Mickey Twitty died in 2021. In 1987, Twitty married his 36-year-old office secretary, Delores "Dee" Henry, who became his widow in June 1993."[ Wikipedia

Conway Twitty was and still is a favorite singer for many women. He knew what we want to hear and he sang it for us. I grow up listening to Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn and still love to listening to them. One of my personal favorite songs of Conway's is The Rose, it always talks to my soul.

Never heard of Conway womanizing, but the ladies sure loved him, they swooned. Perhaps hearkening back to his crooner roots. He started of in Rock 'n Roll and had a #1 in 1958 with It's Only Make Believe. Great tune!

I think his songs were just a niche he felt was available. He was a popular entertainer and the ladies did love him, but he was a happily married man (I believe). Conway was so popular in fact that the character in the musical Bye Bye Birdie. The character's name was Conrad Birdie. Hmmm Corad Birdie - Conway Twitty.

When Conway Twitty first came out he was considered rock and roll and Elvis was considered to be country and there's never really been any exploits about Conway Twitty being a womanizer but a lot of his songs were deemed to be too risque for mainstream country radio back in the day. Side note is that Conway Twitty is the first artist that made Branson Missouri recognizable and put Branson on the map. Then absolutely he played into that women loved his subliminal thinking so to speak in a song and the men loved the mental place themselves would put women into LOL

Before country music Conway was a 50s 60s rocker and was in the movie Sex Kittens Go to College. As a country music singer some of his songs were controversial, with DJs refusing to play them in the air.

Women used to throw their panties at Conway, he would always sing what women wanted to hear. He was married three times, his first marriage was a year the second was 30 years and the last one was till he died. When he first started out they thought he was too Rock so the country stations wouldn't play his music. He was in the country Hall of Fame and in the rockabilly Hall of Fame. His singing partner was Loretta Lynn, they had a lot of great songs together including You're the Reason our Kids are Ugly, and Louisiana Woman Mississippi Man, and I Still Believe in Waltzes, and From Seven till Ten and a lot more. He also had a tourist attraction called Twitty City which was closed down in 94 I believe. Also this song Tight Fitting Jeans was released in 1980. You got to think about the kind of music he sang about, it was pretty risky at the time. RIP Conway 💔

Okay, so I actually squealed.. well maybe it was more of a squeak. I am very found of bourbon and rye but my first choice every day will be Irish and my go to, is Redbreast. We have a world famous Irish pub here where I live and the choices for the Irish is extraordinarily awesome. Conway, had that voice that made women weak in the knees and knew how to use it. He was more a tease (with his songs and lyrics) than a womanizer though. Great reaction, great whiskey... but now I have to find something else to send you boys. Goes back to the drawing board.

Don't know about him entirely being a womanizer, but he was definitely married four times to three different women. Including his 36 year old secretary when he was 54.

Oh EOS. . . I HATE that screen. My Dad is the pastor of a small church and I'm one of the only people under 50 so I was voluntold to set up a way to live stream the service during quarantine. I am the farthest thing from a tech guy. . . I would hate to think how many hours I'll never get back of looking at that screen and scratching my head googling everything I could think of trying to figure out how to get it to work!

He wasn't. He is just smooth and has away to make a woman fall in just a few words and a look. I don't find it disrespectful nor offending.

No he wasn't. He was married and there was never any thing about him being in an affair. He adored his wife.
