    Michael's Orchids What are the hydroponics?

  • @smerk429

    @smerk429

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@shelleycarhill5225 the Semi hydroponic part is that theres NO SOIL. Its HYDRO CLAY PELLETS. They hold moisture within small holes n cracks n crevices which feeds the plant vs conventional SOIL or DIRT. The HYDRO clay makes it SEMI Hydroponic.

I'm watching all of your semi hydro videos!(to be honest all the semi hydro videos I can find on youtube.heh) I have an oncidium twinkle with horrible roots that split into 2 sections and now both sections are just starting to push out the first signs of new growth. One with 2 bulbs and the other with numerous roots. I'm currently using a little cheap pipette to manually water them every day or two. Yes. I love my plants. Lol Ive heard twinkles love semi hydro because they want to be watered so frequently. New baby root nubs seem like the perfect time to convert! I'm really growing to appreciate your channel! Micheal I so appreciate your knowledge, and delivery. I wanted to share my experience with drilling holes in glass/ mason jars etc. I found after three very pricey drill bits, the light went on and I pulled out my Dremel OMG it is absolutely fail proof (for me ) just wanted to share this. You make it look so easy and I am very knowledgeable with power tools/ bits and all that fun stuff. I wanted to share this because I can see that it would be quite a challenge if you 1 don’t have proper drill power, 2 absolutely essential bit. Back to you and your amazing knowledgeable self. My mom passed in May 2019 she had 3 orchids and I took them home, mind you I am a personal Gardner but I have had not a lot of luck with these exotic beauties so I am very grateful I found you. You rock! Now let’s see if I can make this work. With Respect, Michelle
