Converting the Hardinge HLV toolroom lathe to CNC

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Intro to the Hardinge HLV cnc conversion.
Currently I'm taking her to bits, removing the parts not required and selling them to fund the conversion. This video show's what needs to be done and what's been done so far.

Thank you for the video. I just purchased a Hardinge chucker lathe in similar condition that I hope to convert as well. Please keep the videos coming.

A work in progress still. Bought a Haas VMC after I got this and basically didn't need the Hardinge anymore. Just another project that's fell by the wayside :-(

@@iDiveDOTtv I have just bought one and could do with some spares if you have any bits. My apron handwheel has tons of backlash and the tailstock is a bit stuck.

@@chrislee7817 Cool. I'm over near lincoln and do have spares to sell. No apron hand wheel; that went to America. But I do have a tailstock :-) What do you want to pay for it? Please don't make me a silly low ball offer though as I won't be interested . If I'm agreeable I'll put an eBay buy it now for it and you can take it from there.
