Thanks for sharing this Martin that’s a much better way to apply the Fabsil Gold. I too have recently deep cleaned my Audi A3 convertible roof using the new improved Autoglym sponge protection applicator and found it much easier, as like you found paint brushing on Fabsil Gold a faff…..I’ll use Fabsil applying it with a sponge in future as much prefer Gold over the AG protection as it lasts longer. Hello Mark, hope I can help mate. So let's start at the beginning. I really like Autoglym products, in my view you cant go far wrong with them. However Im really not a fan of the product the dealerships sell as a life protection product. I have had that on a couple of cars in the distant past and found it as useful as an ash tray on motorbike. So I would forget I have it on the car and just carry on washing and protecting as you would normally with your favourite wax/sealant. Garage Therapy 2 QD is a great product and probably the most used product on my shelf. It is a great drying aid BUT be carful mate on what towels you use with it as the more you use a towel with a drying aid the more is will eventually resist water. The best drying towels I have and the best value for money is the Cars & Donuts Gold member carsanddonuts.com/index.php/product/gold-member-drying-towel/ currently on sale for £9.50. I have two and love them. I have other drying towels I like as much but they are more expensive so start with the Gold Member and see how you get on. But remember what I said about using the drying towel with a drying aid. Also the GT 2QD will only give protection for a week or two so depending on how often you wash the car you may want to think of a better form of protection. Hope that is of some help but, Im just at the other end of the keyboard mate so happy to help and clarify any time

@@markmummery8765 No Mark, use the Gold Member to dry the car. If you use it to first dry the windscreen, that makes the towel slightly damp and strangely enough it then drys better and leaves the paintwork clear. @@markmummery8765 🤣 Not dense mate, we all started somewhere. So I think forget about using the GT as a drying aid for a while as it can just add confusion and just wash, rinse and dry the car with the Gold Member and you shouldn't get any streaks. Then use the Gt on a dry car & see how that goes. Give it a go and let me know how you get on. I dont know where you live but here in Berkshire it has rained for days and looks like that is on the cards for the next few as well so no chance of washing anything here
