She's so smart in a non pretentious way. I hate when actors get to a certain level and think that everything out of their mouth is gold, but you can tell, they're just repeating after clever directors. She really has a mind of her own and knows what she wants, which is so refreshing!

Ah, Brie is so amazing! Love her so much! ❤ After so many rocky years with almost no memorable roles, she got lucky twice to get cast in the right projects (Short Term 12 / Room) and the first one lead to the second one. Both were her first ever leading roles, which she played at age 22 (she turned 23 during filming Short Term 12) and 24/25 for Room. And look where she is now. Leanny Abrahamson is also a super likeable, smart, warm human. With the right people, you can make great movies. And Brie chooses her projects carefully. Although I had already watched several interviews and even few longer talks about Room, it was still interesting to hear Lenny and Brie talk about one of my favourite movies. ❤👏🏻👸🏻

17:30 Yes, Brie is lovely and warm with positive energy. Yes, that is exactly my impression after watching basically everything there is from her. I'm glad that Lenny used exactly the words I would use. Brie is hugely misunderstood by the internet and gets hated for speaking her mind and being a strong woman and a Marvel superhero. But she continues to have success despite all the negativity. 🎉❤ And I love how humble Brie Larson is. In a similar talk in front of a live audience, she was asked about her nominations for herself and the movie Short Term 12 (2013, came out shortly before she hit it big with Room) and Brie honestly said she didn't want to talk about it and that she had doubt taking on her first leading role and then she did amazing but she doubted herself constantly and said she could do better. Same for Room. She worked again with an amazing director and a great script and yeah, I get why she was doubtful because it was her 2nd leading role and it was a tough movie to shoot. Still Brie did amazing. And she brings humour into this interview despite the dark themes.
