From the guy who argued prices to the Legends team’s faces

These are $30+ each?!? lol! McFarlane made such a point of being a private company and how he can keep the prices low. At $20 I was happy with their offerings but they’re not great by any means. At $30+ the line will die again.

I'm not sure what's up with McFarlane? Even McFarlane purists are upset with him as of late. The last figure I got from McFarlane Toys is Animal Man. As of late, Marvel Select is my drug of choice. They're killing it with most of those figures!

Its two things lately. The price hikes are pretty bad especially when it comes to retools or hollow/very cheap feeling mega figs now. The other issue being the 'digital collectables' which are basically just NFTs that he gamified to increase the FOMO factor.

It warms my heart to see more people appreciate Marvel Selects.

NO ONE is against a company making money and making a profit. Everyone has a job and needs to make a living. The problem is when the companies charge astronomically high prices far above inflation rates for plastic molded mass produced items. There is no limited resources like there might be for precious metals or jewels. If enough people willingly pay the prices asked by these companies then the companies will never have an incentive to have lower and reasonable prices. Ultimately, there will be fewer and fewer customers resulting in more limited production runs which will result in even higher prices. It's too bad because some of these action figures are enjoyable. Oh well. The rest of us will ignore the small and dwindling group of collectors and companies that cater to them. We all need to be careful that we do not allow companies to dictate our lives to us.

I have just a handful of McFarlane figures. The DCM Mr. Freeze, Emperor Shaddam IV (or as I call him, Emperor Walken) from the newer Dune film, Lobo (he's the Main Man, after all), my pre-historic Fighting the Frozen Robin (love his surprise lower leg swivel so much) and Shasha Calle's version of Supergirl. "WHAT DID YOU DO!?!" Dude...chills. I intend to get the upcoming Starfire, and I shall be content. I also had gotten a few Warhammer 40K traitor guards but just for their guns, I sold the figures after a while and plus they were on clearance at Gamestop. My collecting is tapering off and I wanna thank you again, Senpai Prime, for being a big influence over these last few years since I subscribed. Keep making your videos and I'll keep watching! ^.^

Really wanted the Spectre, but I have my own standards when it comes quality of the product = value/cost. McFarlane toys are typically not up to par with the quality I want. Very rarely will I spend more than the $24.99 plus tax. Many times I wait for the DC figures to just get discounted (which they typically do) and pick them up for a more reasonable $17-$21. $40 is not worth it to me.

Green Lantern review first please, Russ - The price-hike and re-use on the Monitor Wave doesn't interest me; Kid Flash is so out of proportion, the Supes head-sculpt is nothing like the comic character it is based on, and from other reviews I've seen the overall QC isn't great... Maybe you'll have a different perspective - We'll see.

literally any other lantern besides Rayner would've made that 2pack 10x better. Abin Sur or Tomar-Re would've been perfect. 70 bucks for a goddamn Rayner repaint.
