Isn't that common in the entire game?

I was Uber stuck on this part for about a day or two. What I found to help me defeat her was to fight her with launch and the gun at first. Just rinse and repeat with that until she starts levitating. Then go up the stairs. She can’t float up there, and you can hide behind the pillars to get in some really cheap shots. Only way to beat an unfair game is to play unfair!

Also, use your shield, too. Launch, shield to repel her rocket attacks, and then use the gun. One she starts flying, get up the stairs and get those cheap shots in!

This one wasn't too bad. Compared to Salvador and Former. I beat her on only 20% damage reduction

This was SO MUCH EASIER THAN THE BIG MOLD PLANT! The trick is the throw a few objects at her, then get up close just a few time and press triangle to melee. I then went to up top between the pillars and shot with grip then she finally died

Pendulum puzzle: You have to synchronise them in and outside of the mirror world. (Make them beat the same rhythm). You know it worked when the room starts shaking. And you’ll get a stupid energy boost card. So nothing special. To open the crate, you have to look at the computer with the puzzle on it next to to the crate (normal world) screenshot that, go to mirror world and enter that puzzle mirrored! Good luck :)

This puzzle is worth doing so much more than the pendulum

Hold your shields up stay near the stairs. When she gives you a moment drop your shields blast her repeat. Run up the stairs when you’re low on energy recharge

as someone who hates puzzles i absolutely loved this entire mission.

I have NO IDEA, how you made it, but i keep dying 50 times here already, i once almost got her, but i can't finish this.

Fight from the stairs they don't go up them. It's a pretty easy fight if you launch, and cover from the stairs.

@@AdamasOldblade you need to adjust your character with proper personal and weapon mods and fully utilized the abilities (launch, evade, and shield) and along with environments during the combat. Besides, learning to adapt to your enemy's attack style is crucial too.

@@AdamasOldblade lol this is a prime example of git gud I dont think I ever got one shot by a boss even early game. Maybe you just cant get your flow right, or maybe you dont truly understand the mechanics with the game. 100% this game and it's truly amazing

Everyone keeps saying “cheese her by going upstairs”. I tried that, her damn rockets kept murdering me. So I found another way to cheese her. I did this on an attempt after the first one, so the fight started with me entering the reversed Syncrosity room from the stairs leading to the mirror instead of being on the second floor. As soon as you run up the stairs, take some shots at esseJ, maybe throw a piece of debris at her. Make sure she’s on the same side of the room you’re on when you first enter the fight. Then run right back down the stairs to the first landing. If you did it right, her ai will have her be in the corner by the stairs that lead up. Pick up a piece of debris and throw it at her the MOMENT you see her. Then, run back around the corner to break line of sight, so she won’t shoot a rocket at you. This works for the first and second phases. The third phase is a little trickier. You still want to throw stuff at her, to force her to dodge and cancel her own launch attacks. It also makes her stand still just long enough to pop off several shots from Grip or possibly a shot from Pierce. It takes a little while, but I managed to whittle her down. The main reason I did this quest was to get the Asyncronous outfit. Next to the Astral Dive outfit, it’s the best one in the game.

Best weapons for this are probably spin and grip, don't hide in the first stage just go at it staying the length of the downstairs apart, hitting her with spin and launching every rocket back, next stage your shield and spin are your best friend, rinse and repeat, last stage, grip will be your best friend as well as your shield and dodging. Use grip specifically for good accuracy and decent head shot damage

I beat pretty much the entire game using only shatter and pierce. Once you get comfortable with those two, you won't need to keep switching for every different scenario. That would be tedious.

The key to this fight is using your shield, so buff up your shields

@@general_-rt4bt The thing is, puzzles don't kill you and you don't die normally in them. Fights can kill you and once you died, you have to repeat it all over again.

Headshot damage really helps in this at the first phase

esseJ's attack hitboxes are so little. If you keep moving in a direction different than esseJ's attack direction, you can easily dodge them.

Before you go in the mirror find the computer the puzzle is already solved on screen. Just remember to reverse it I'm the mirror world.

@@DecimalD_ You have to literally reverse it, so in the normal world it's right and down full but on the mirror it's left and down full and the other 2 lines are the same, it just gave me one weappn mod (prime launch efficiency)

Interesting tip if you go into the stairwell the doppelganger will not follow you so you can bait her and take potshots

I didn't do this till I'd finished the game so got her beat at the third try, just kept hitting her with fully upgraded launch.

max your launch damage tree first and essej is piss easy. I just beated her and it took approx. 1 minute

Took a couple tries but ended up being much easier if you take cover behind the upstairs pillars when she starts levitating.

bro you literally taking no damage from her. i get hit once with that spin gun and my life halved. thats the probalem with these videos, they always upload them when they got maxed stuff or full stuff, so makes it look easy

First stage she dies to about 5-6 launches and a little bit of shooting. Second stage she will keep shielding at which point you spam launch and then shoot a clip into her. Third stage just hold up the shield until you absorb 2 explosives and she does a charge attack, then spam a clip into her head and keep repeating until she's dead. If she somehow damages you, the health points dropped by the easier clones is still on the floor.

it's interesting level. though, it would be better if the music and sound effects are also reversed, and esseJ holds her gun with "left" hand

So original and surprising to fight against your evil reflection. I love this game ! It took me a few minutes to shoot Essej down, i found it relatively easy, maybe because i finished the main missions and my Launch is at full power.

Best advice just use her block ability when "essej" pulls out a missile and use hip fire to shoot her much easier than trying to aim and shoot her!

I'm kinda glad to see other comments talk about how annoying the fight with eseeJ is. Spamming the Charge on you is total bullshit and does way too much damage. I really like this game but man some of the boss fights are poorly balanced.

@@DrakanHpS1 Yeah, the main thing is to not be trying to throw stuff at her when she's lobbing things at you so you can catch them. Also if you use the lower staircase you can pretty much back up down them and most projectiles coming your way will hit the floor above the top step and not reach you.

I didnt even solve the first bit of the puzzle, just kind of repeated what was done here and still have no clue what I did

What's the code to the terminal in the mirrored dimension though?

Anyone figure out the Newton's cradle (metal clanking balls) puzzle? There's a room in both the mirror side and the normal side with them. If you synch them all the same the room shakes. But I haven't had anything unlock.

I just did this, on the third try i made it. The thing is to pay attention to the rockets, and grab them and throw them back, also hit her whenever she tries to use kinetik force to throw objects at you.

I hid up stairs like a bitch the entire fight and chucked stuff at her with the absolute launch damage mod lol me 1 shame 0 lol

I just died 20 times without doing any damage in the third stage. She never rests in one place for more than a fraction of a second. Its impossible to hit her with the gun. Also she throws an object every second at me. Never managed to survive longer than a few seconds. The boss is behaving very different from what I see in this video. :/

i beat the entire game first maxxed out throwing and health and energy she died in like 10 seconds im just stock on the suncronising pendulum part

Did it my third time camping the stairs taking my time blocking the missiles and going out to get health if I needed it so I could take one hit at least and kept launching things at her and getting few shots off

You can upgrade your health and all other stats with ability points

Where exactly are you on the map?

This is almost Dark Souls, some enemies can lower your health to like 1% with 1 hit, i have trouble dodging left, while pressing ctrl and honestly, i was thinking about giving up and uninstalling the game and never ever touch it again. That's how frustrating it is, the developers need to nerf some bosses, your enemies can float all the time, with no limitation and some can get invisible. No matter how strong you are, they are always better at almost all of your skills.

@@SynphamyMusic I managed to defeat esseJ, but i used something to do so, i wasn't happy about having to use it, but i'm at least satisfied, that it did, what i expected. There was another similarly frustrating fight, where i used that something as well, but i had lost my patience faster, because i didn't want to try it over 50 times and lose. At that other fight, i always got hit so hard, that i almost died, an attack, that was impossible to avoid, didn't matter when it happened, it happened at some point. I might use this thing at a later point, if the game starts getting unfair or frustrating.

after you complete the main storyline you get this suit (THE DIRECTOR'S SUIT)... and the one you have is THE GOLDEN SUIT (from Luck & Probability).... and after defeating esseJ , you can see a dummy on the ground floor (first shop to the left after the entrance) of the Real World Synchronicity Lab, wearing (THE ASYNCHRONOUS SUIT)....take it...it's fucking awesome.

Document is called 'Mirror Supplement' found on the way to the prime candidate program, through security there's a small room with the papers on the desk. This will trigger the quest.

Strategy is meaningless when faced with overwhelming power nah but I whipped her @zz lol

Beat her on the first try 🤣 well I'm a souls player so this is a breeze
