Here comes the hardest part of this paint job...picking between Khrone, Nurgle, Slaanesh, or Tzeetch for the skin color...

Yup. I'm actually staring at it right now 😂
I kinda lost my way at half of the video, couldn't get how to do the same enlightning, but the contrat job on the wings and the skin looks amazing. Thank you so much !
You do amazing work. I prefer to let my plastic age several months before I open the box and imagine it like yours. Well, someday.
Looking forward to painting my own daemon prince for my black legion when they separate him from the box set. I have abaddon but as soon as I saw this guy I knew he was going to be my true crowning centerpiece to round out my army.
Great model, and a super painting tutorial as always, looks awesome! Thanks so much
Big fan of this tutorial, I like how you gave an extended look at how to paint and blend the skin on the wing "muscles", a lot of tutorials will show a tiny bit and then transition to the whole thing being painted which can overwhelm some people.
This video makes my evening and can't wait to paint mine! Thank you 🤗
Excellent job on a badass model! I'm excited to paint this guy in Word Bearers colors! Awesome intro music too!
Recently came across your channel. Absolute delight how you use your techniques. Definitely gonna use this reference for painting mine!
Awesome work, really like style! Your videos give me lots of inspiration for my own projects 👍🏻
Stunning work. Well done. Might have to try and follow this one!
I’ve been waiting all the time for some base and layer paints 😅 it looks amazing!
Incredible. Love it.
This model (and the 40k version) I have been looking forward to for so damn long.
Awesome work!
This is gonna be great! Switching to my TV now so I can watch it on glorious big screen!
you make it look so easy, thanks so much for the guide
Gorgeous as usual
I appreciate you making this video, I always struggle with skin tone ideas and this was great!
So sick!!
So cool !
Intro got me hyped already
Great choice of music!
CHAOS ASCENDENT! for THE 6th time this year what a Glorious Dark Age we live within 😈
That’s an awesome skin tone. Going to use it to paint my Skarbrand 😁
Really love the way you utilise the contrast paints its really inspirng. I would love to replicate the sword glyph glowing but my army is geared towards a snow scheme so was thinking about blue glowing runes. Could you recommend some colours to try this with?
This model is badass.
The wings are crazy.
Brilliant, Mate!!! Do you seal your models when you are finished and if so what do you use?
What is that Intro song? Love it so much! Superb tutorial. I am looking forward to painting mine just like you did!
My brain has finally comprehended glazing
Awesome paint job as always! when you wash the brush to blend in the wings, do you use a paper towel after or leave the water on the bristles?
Great video! Is there any chance you do a 40k one?
Well painted! Ever consider doing something different than the box art?
awesome. im just finishing building a daemons army and Ill be using all your videos to paint them. Ive already dropped about 300 dollars in paints. I have both a loc and a kairos, would you recommend using the same paint job for both or are you going to do a paint a kairos model in a different paint scheme in the future? Thanks!!!
Some really great demonstration on the feathering of the skin tones. Also how did you come up with the mix of cygor brown and shyish purple? :D

Oh man I know right! He has Contrast mixes in other videos as well that blow my mind which I would never have considered and they are always great.
As usual an amazing job. I just finished my House Korvax Abominant following your guide and you landed me a commission job from the results. I 100% intend on getting my Daemon Prince for my future Khorne eaters army. Not featured is the new Minotaur head with the fur, and I'd be running him with an axe. How would you do the Fur as opposed to the bare skin on the face? Gore-grunta fur? The axe would probably have the same recipe as the sword im assuming?
@Warhipster
Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on landing the commission! That’s awesome news! I think Gore-Grunta Fur for the the fur on the Khorne head is an excellent idea yes. That or some Garaghak’s sewer if you want it to be cooler than GGF and as for the Axe yes it would be exactly the same for the colours as the sword. Just placed differently of course!
Why do you use the Artis Opus brush for the first step instead of a Citadel Layer brush?
Where can I buy this model?
When you say thinned down retributor armour, is this just with a little bit of water? Also with the contrast medium mix, is it just one brush load of shyish purple and one with contrast? Sorry if it’s a stupid question! Thanks in advance!
Hy, Van you tell me the drybrushed colours of the base
Are there really no highlights, just basecoat + shade on the golden parts? they pop like insane
What colours would you use for a more pale skin, like Chaos Undivided?
Part 1 should be how to get the new demon prince, is it released yet
I have some pretty old iron warriors, did they update the color of it recently? Following your chosen guide, they're already an INCREDIBLY dark silver, don't really look as light as yours.
what are the names of the music tracks you used
I'm not ready to be done with the Votann yet 😢
Hi Warhipster! If you were to paint the face more like the box art, so, a more pallyd tone, what colours would you use?
@Warhipster

I’d probably use Dreadful Visage and then pallid Wych flesh to highlight it

Indeed! You can get him in the Slaves to Darkness Army set which is up for preorder now but not sure on the individual model release just yet.
Please do it for the nurgle prince!!!!!!
Just cant do this one. Followed your chosen tutorial and they look great. But I followed this and my prince is SUPER dark compared to yours with all the layers :( Will I kill him if i prime and start again?
@Latskap979

Yes, you will kill him. To be best you need to wash off the paint
Seems you went for a Khorne demon prince what colors would you recommend for a Tzeentch demon prince with blue skin? Would you still go flesh colored or what would you recommend?
@Warhipster
Жыл бұрын
I’d probably use something like Space Wolves Grey on the fleshy membranes then shade the whole thing with Tyran Blue and then use Asurmen Blue instead of Blood Angels Red, Maybe Celestium Blue mixed with Black instead of the Purple and Brown mix. That’s the kind of ball park I’d be in for Tzeentch!

@@Warhipster thanks so much I’ll look into that once I can buy this model separately from an AoS box since I want him for my Black Legion army
@SeppukuAddict
Жыл бұрын
@@BigDumbBlair I'm going to paint mine in colour shift paints to come as close as I can to the idea that his skin is metamorphosing between states, and green stuff various feathers and fish scales onto him to make him look both beautiful and alien. I might give him slits filled with tiny eyes over where his eyes should be.
quick question, can I substitute the Cygor brown for a rattling Grime or a Garaghaks sewer or would that drastically change the outcome?
@Warhipster
Жыл бұрын
Garaghak’s sewer would be a little brighter but might work! Ratling Grime wouldn’t make an impact but would add a kinda dirty look which would be nice but maybe not what you’re after!

can you credit the music?
Cool video, but the volume difference between the intro and your voice is quite big. And yes, I know this is a year late, you're probably improved the audio... but yeah. Keep it up ha.
