Deathleaper is here and he creeps his way into Warhipster Towers for a paintjob! Whilst he looks really complicated this guy is surprisingly easy in the colours of Hive Fleet Leviathan. A slightly darker model than the others so far but this miniature is a painters dream. The Apex Stealthy predator? You bet he is!

When warhipster says it has been "primed in wraithbone" it is music to my ears!
That cape... that damned cape 😍 What a genius idea to add it to the model. Tyranids are supposed to be almost completely without their own will, but that cape adds personality. Like he is such a dangerous Alpha Lictor, that he's allowed to have his own will to do his job better. Adding a simple flesh cape embodies all these concepts, 10/10 model.
Perfect, followed the tutorial as it was my first bigger model and I didn't want to break it. Turned out exatcly as I wanted, great help!

Aside from looking cool, the cape makes a certain amount of sense. The Death Leaper isn't the typical lictor assassin, its a tool of terror and psychological warfare. Its supposed to come across like some mysterious monster ripped from the depths of the human psyche and brought to life.
Another great tutorial. Ive been using all these vidoes to paint my own Leviathan swarm. I have to hand it to GW they have completely nailed it with all the 10th edition Tyranid sculpts with Deathleaper just about edging it as my favourite

Comparing the magos purple and carroburg crimson, i like the magos purple look a lot better, it's a bit more vibrant which I like. Great video sir
How much difference are you seeing between the Magos Purple and the Carroburg Crimson? Is it noticeable between models if I started one way and switch between models/units?
