@@adamdenardis5438 Not quite. There is a code you can beat it with. With the controller pressing Up, up , down , down , left , right , left , right , b, a, start. Giving you 30 lives. And only Lord Jesus Christ can be God as we all will find out on judgement day. He does punish idolaters if those keep doing it and don't stop. Unfortunately there is no rest at all for the condemned that are either unrepentant or disbelieving in the lake of fire. It is the second death.

Minibosses did a cover of this. That point at 0.32 is amazing.

Governor Arnold and Sylvester Stallone rampaging through a jungle shooting anything that moves. A movie like that would have shattered box office records in the 80's, especially with this soundtrack.

30 years ago, when this soundtrack is played during the fighters roll jump down to the battlefield i feel a lot of energy and excitement. I use to play this game daily and complete all stages with my cousins ans friends and my uncle Now I’m lonely they all passed away And I’m trying to live my life Strange feeling, the first time I hear this sound track and feel depressed and crying

This particular one was probably one of the easier ones. I can do a playthrough without a problem. Ninja Gaiden and pretty much any Castlevania games. Now those are punishing games

I'm glad I had a proper upbringing. Zelda, Mario, Contra....My gaming life is one of the few things I thank my dad for. Started me off right on the NES in 2000, then the N64 in 2002, then the NGC, and a bunch of other Nintendo consoles. Thanks for that, dad.

cuando tenia 25 me desperte un dia con ganas de jugar asi que me fui al centro, me compre una nes con el mortal kombat, contra y un 100 en 1 donde estaba mario, ice climber, elevator action, bomberman entre tantos clasicasos..aproveche mis 3 dias de carpeta medica y le di masa jaja, despues le regale la nes a un nene que paso por casa a pedir comida jaja lo mismo paso con un sega genesis, que ese lo regale a un vecinito jaja, chocho quedaron los nenes

Used to play this all the time with my dad when I was a young lad. Such an amazing game. There was a time in my 20s when I ran it over and over again and could beat it without dying. I doubt I could do that now though.

For me this version of contra is the superior one. The arcade version had shorter levels, better graphics but the music also doesn’t hit the same as this 8bit masterpiece. Defining moment in gaming history without a doubt, one of the greatest games of all time.
