One of the best Contras. Everything was just so dark and evil and perfectly fitting in the lore. A friend and I actually beat it on hard once, still don’t know how we did it

@@22espec Old comment but yes. Would've been awesome if he/they climbed in the helicopter, it then dropped that missile/nuke down that hole, and next scene we see a fierymushroom cloud in distance.

This was the best Contra. It really was ahead of its time. Innovative gameplay mechanics and visuals. One of the ALL time best games on the SNES. I can remember playing this game a lot. Really fun.

Debatable, but it was a good game, for sure. I liked this game, just not as much as most other Contra games, like Contra 4

Ohhhh..... the boss at 12:45..... MASSIVE love/hate relationship with that guy! He killed me more than any other boss. Yet, I loved his fight! That whole teleport and then block with his weaponized tail was just soooo cool to me!

I love how the bosses in this game generally make no sense whatsoever but them being completely out of control and weird was half the fun.

I love how in this video the song perfectly fits the entrance of the boss for once. 12:42

Yes, so much memories of this game... Have not yet identified this specific music, but the previous one (Kimkoh theme) is taken from The sacrifial dance, in Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.

That final boss was like "This isn't even my final form" 😂 😂 😂 😂

@@griegomamey4624 I never played this game all the way through. I always played the normal difficulty level but never beat the game. I got the SNES mini and played it on easy and beat it. They gave me that "play the normal difficulty level" jazz and I said F**K THAT!!!

Just one of my favorite games ever. Very nice playthrough for level 3. I'm gonna give old Contra 3 a shot soon enough. Used to enjoy hard corps as well.

The last boss was a dick for ever time you pick the spike thing it drops out items trolling you like I dare you come over here and get these free extra items XD

Contra 3 is such a great game. Great job on the bosses and not dieing to them! When I play this game, I actually have a pretty similar strategy for most of these bosses, but I could never do as well as this.

Even in the emulator saving anywhere I have difficulty to finishing this game.

Holy shit. I can’t believe I ever beat this game way back when... this shit looks impossible. Nicely done.

I don't give a FUCK how easy you make this game look or how skilled you are at it. There IS NO WAY, NOT A CHANCE IN HELL THAT YOU'LL SURVIVE CONTRA III ON THIS DIFFICULTY WITHOUT A GAME GENIE! I remember not wanting to play this game as a kid thanks to the box art scaring the shit out of me. When I finally got around to playing it though holy balls was it good!

Still to this very day, this god damn game STILL... burns my retinas, even at x2 speed.

"No damage" Lol. In Contra, you *die* if you take a single hit. So any successful run is a no damage run.

There is no checkpoints system (except for continues), so if only lose a life you continue where you left off in the fight

What old times with this game, I remember that I was addicted to playing this game all day, because I often died that, but they were worth killing the bosses and pass the story against, a true work of art this game. Take your like.

Man, the opening to Contra III after Gava/Jagger Froid destroys the city with Bill/Jimbo and Lance/Sully is awesome.

Maybe the most impressive thing I have ever seen.

@ 6:17 The flamethrower is the fastest boss killer in the game. I figured out how to beat the twin robots and the massive head in under 2min at 8 years old. The flamethrower is the meta weapon in this game
