Easily my favorite song in the game. Climbing up that wall and watching the crazy pollution in the distance. Crazyness.

I love how the music comes in at the beginning.

Man going from 8 bit NES sound to the Snes sound was a hugeeee jump!

@@retrorapture4079 I don't know bro most of the arcade ost of super c destroys the nes version. However the jungle stage still sounds better on nes to me. The nes version does have a few tracks the arcade does not which rock.

Konami had enough hardware knowledge back then that they could have made their own console. Their hardware engineers really studied the SNES hardware (both console and cartridge) very well. I consider Super Castlevania IV and Contra III to be important early SNES titles. Im surprised that Konami actually played Nintendo's game. In the Famicom era, Konami made their own custom cartridges, but they couldnt do that in North America because of the lockout circuitry Nintendo put in the International versions of the console. Konami could have continued to make their own custom cartridges had Nintendo not locked out the SNES/Super Famicom, and that would have been a lot better.

@@scottythegreat1 A lot of companies do not want to do their own console because of the cost. Heck google had online gaming and gave up because they did not want to spend the money it would cost to compete with Microsoft after they started buying up companies.

The Contra guys were in such great shape and so strong. Doing multiple flips in the air and grabbing a ledge or wire with one hand and hanging and shooting with the other. Insane grip!!!

The game was so hard for me when I was a child, but I did remember that listening to this music, it inspired me to beat the level and defeat all sub-bosses. Damn, every one of them were challenging (more or less) but without this music, I would never have finished the level!

My favorite theme from the game since I was a kid! :)

I'm playing heavily modded Doom 2 with the Contra 3 Ost. This track goes real hard. It fits so well to all the mods and Hell on Earth theme.

Best stage in the game!!

Giant Terminator

This 1 was the best 1

I was like 12 when I played this, my brain melted from the awesomeness

Its hard for me to believe that this soundtrack in part was written by Miki Higashino who went on to work on the first 2 Suikoden soundtracks. The change in tone between games is unmistakeable and shows great contrast in styles

Lol that's not really what I meant. Some of my favorite composers were women working at Konami and Capcom in the late 80's and early 90's. It's become something of a lifelong attachment for me. @@Allplussomeminus

this track and the Lazer type level from contra 1 both hits hard like my father's belt

This part sounds like The Two Heroes Soldiers are climbing to the Steel Mill to meet the Giant Terminator 1:12

This level on hard is what separates the boys from the men, the wheat from the chaft, the whites from the colo- okay maybe not that last one! Point being this level determines if the run has merit, or if you reset.
