Wipe out is what happened to me twice (last year ... and last thursday on my first winter ride) ... so I guess those tires will help to not slide 5m on the pavement next time. Thanks for the confirmation on their capacity to not wipe out when hitting some ice.

Where I live these tires are selling for about half the price of the Shwalbe ones. I'm looking at getting them for commuting and nothing as extreme as this video. I'm mostly worried about ice patches.

They are really good tires and they will definitely help on ice. They're a good insurance policy for sure.

Both this Continental Spike in 700×32/120 studs and the Schwalbe Winter in 700x35/120? studs are easy to find at ~60 CAN$ in Montreal, QC (Canada).

Hi - what saddle do you have on that bike, btw?

It is a normal Brooks B17 leather saddle, thanks for watching!

Curious, were you using 120 or 240 spikes in review?

I just saw your another video, it's 120 spikes. Have you tried it on ice? How it perform? The trail I usually riding in winter is covered by ice, wonder if 120 spikes is good enough to handle it. Otherwise I may go with 240 spikes

Hi good point, they are 120 spike! Think the 240 might have spikes in the center of the tread? These ones only have spikes towards the outside.

@@spinningtrue Thanks, I'm currently looking into this tire based on your review, do you know what exact width is when putting these tires on the rim? I checked Contiental website, for 42C tire it states "ETRTO at 42-622 (mm)" and "Dimension at 28*1.60(inch)", 1.60' is actually 40mm not 42. tire clearance on my bike is narrow and I want to go as wide as possible, so 2mm difference does matter

@@mortgagesvalueland5837 I have been riding these tires this winter and I like them very much, they seem to be surprisingly durable... and since they're on the bike I can measure them for you. With calipers the front tire measures exactly 42.0mm and the back measures 41.5mm. Not sure why the difference, it could be tire pressure but I don't have a tire pressure gage for presta valves so can't measure that for you. But they are def. not 40mm on my bike.

@@spinningtrue thx, I accidently used a different account for tire width question and was wonder that didn't get your reply until check the message with correct account I actually in use. but anyway thanks again for your input, the thing is I have bought the tire today and put them on my wheels, it turns out at 40mm width on both front and rear, just FYI wheel internal width is 22mm. I may add some thoughts once having a chance to ride in snow later days, BTW they are damn heavy, weigh at 910g each (120 spikes 700c 42 tire)
