Hello Karan. Thanks for your efforts. Can I use DFD to implement an SDN Network Management System? The developed management system handles topology modeling, load balancing, security, and routing. Thanks in advance.

Is it Compulsory to have an admin . in Context diagrams and also i have doubt that how can we know how many people are using the software ? Just the above example of LMS there are also teachers as an entity which perform other tasks
@KaranJetliLive
2 жыл бұрын
Yes we used librarian as admin...and we considered both teachers and students as members...you will knw how many entities from the description of system...i hope this helps...thanks for watching Neeraj...plz subscribe for more...🙏🙏
Draw the Context level DFD (Level 0) for the system whose requirements are summarized as followsA store is in the business of selling paints and hardware items. A number of reputed companies supply items to the store. New suppliers can also register with the store after providing necessary details. The customer can place the order with the shop. A sales report of items sold or items supplied in a day can be generated by the store manager. Make assumptions if necessary.pls kindly solve this sir thankyou sir

Hi Sardar thanks for watching...plz subscribe for more such videos....🙏🙏
I thought context diagram and level 0 dfd are not same ,context diagram has only one process and level 0 dfd it could me 1-9 and has data store......
It is necessary to make all levels or it depends on us which level we decides before making a system?
@KaranJetliLive
Ай бұрын
Hi Imran...no its not necessary...it depends on how much details you want to show...normally its not recomended to go beyond level 2 bcos that it wld be tooo much of infromation to understand and process..normally you can hve level 0 thn level 1 then level 2 and very rarely level 3....i hope you get my point...thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more...🙏🙏
Thank you very good video, when would be appropriate to use these diagram in a work environment as a Business Analyst and when mapping this on the computer could i use visio to map it pls
@KaranJetliLive
10 ай бұрын
You're very welcome! I'm glad you found the video helpful. As a Business Analyst, there are several scenarios in a work environment where using diagrams can be highly beneficial. Here are some instances when you might consider using them: 1. **Process Analysis**: Use diagrams like flowcharts or swimlane diagrams to document and analyze existing business processes. This helps in identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. 2. **Requirements Gathering**: Create use case diagrams or user story maps to visualize and communicate user requirements to stakeholders. These diagrams can serve as a common reference point for everyone involved in the project. 3. **Data Modeling**: Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) are invaluable for modeling databases and understanding the relationships between different data entities in your organization. 4. **System Architecture**: For high-level system design, you can use block diagrams or system context diagrams to illustrate how different components or systems interact. 5. **Decision Trees**: When faced with complex decision-making processes, decision trees can be a useful tool for mapping out various choices and their consequences. 6. **Organizational Structure**: Org charts can help depict the hierarchy and reporting relationships within an organization. Regarding your question about using Visio for diagramming, yes, Microsoft Visio is a popular choice for creating a wide variety of diagrams in a professional setting. It offers a range of templates and shapes tailored for different diagram types, making it a versatile tool for Business Analysts. You can definitely use Visio to create the diagrams you mentioned. It allows you to create, edit, and share diagrams efficiently. Remember that the choice of diagramming tool can also depend on your organization's preferences and the specific needs of your project. Some other popular diagramming tools include Lucidchart, Draw.io (now part of diagrams.net), and online collaborative platforms like Miro or Microsoft Teams' built-in diagramming features. It's a good idea to explore these options to determine which one best suits your requirements and workflows. I hope this helps thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more...
Some of the phrases used for data sound like processes. I think there is a way to indicate data, and a way to indicate processes. E.g. Reserve book is a process, not data. Reservation request would be more accurate as data in this case. Or not?
@KaranJetliLive
Жыл бұрын
hey Simon you are correct in observing that some phrases used for data can sound like processes. In order to accurately represent information, it is important to distinguish between data and processes. In the example you provided, "Reserve book" does sound like a process rather than data. It implies an action or operation of reserving a book. On the other hand, "Reservation request" would indeed be more accurate as data in this case. It represents the information or the data that describes a request for a book reservation... I hope this helps thanks for watching and plz subscribe for more...

@KaranJetliLive

Sir how many levels in library management
@KaranJetliLive
Жыл бұрын
See it depends on how much deatils u want to show...normally upto 2 levels r good
Hmm doesnt data flow need to be purely data and not verbs / actions like you have mentioned "Add Book Info" ? Also, contextual diagram is actually different from Level 0, as Level 0 is decomposed into a very high level set of processes?
@KaranJetliLive
8 ай бұрын
hi bro You're absolutely correct. In Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), data flows should indeed represent the movement of data, and actions or verbs should not be part of the data flow. The mention of "Add Book Info" as data flow can be misleading rather it should only be "book information" which ultimately should go to some process (at decomposed levels) which is adding new books to the system.
