Amazing Hacks! Time blocking is so important. This is reason why we use a specific calendar to batch creating our content for Instagram. Most of the time we are able to content batch an entire month with just one day of work. In the early morning we work on our pre-production, then we use the late morning and afternoon for the shooting (usually 3 to 5 hours) and the evening to post produce the content and schedule it :)

I love that you talk about how important it is to be in a work flow. As a creative person, it is vitally important to get in that mind set and to keep creating whilst in that mindset. My best work is done when I am in the zone and it is uninterupted. I also love how you address the changing your clothes thing!! I have not started releasing content yet but I was worried about this. I am in the process of trying to lose weight so I am between sizes and I don't have a ton of clothes to choose from! 🤣

Great video Jade! I agree with your point about batch content, but give yourself flexibility if this change. I also like to film a small batch of videos so I can see what works and double down on that

This is really helpful. As someone who is seeming to always struggle with what to post consistently, maybe taking the batch creation route could help. I really want to learn how to use the platform! You have my sub!

Definitely seems smarter to batch content create and save an insane amount of time👍🏿. Pre plan it all instead of waiting till the last second.

You brought up something that I often tell people… it’s call “Parkinson’s law”. Parkinson's law is the adage that "work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." If you give yourself 4 hours to clean your house, it will take 4 hours. If you give yourself 1 hour, it’ll take an hour.

Great information! I have analyzed my posts on a spreadsheet and have found that only one thing affects my reach, if the hashtags worked, sometimes on insights hashtags aren’t in the list of impressions so I’m assuming they didn’t work (and I follow all the rules and tips that you and others have recommended) but when they do my reach is much higher. How do I make sure they work? I don’t copy and paste, I usually type them in to make sure they aren’t banned. I have put a ton of strategy into hashtags (seriously the bane of my existence 😆) I do appreciate your tip on deleting old hashtags. I always thought that the IG algorithm remembers. Thanks for your insights, I just found you and like your content! Btw, I would have a hard time coming up with tons of different outfits too. 😁

Thanks for your message! Best way to check the effectiveness of your hashtags is via insights and my manually checking hashtags to see if your content has ranked - super manual labor intensive process! It sounds like you're on it though, continue to put effort into your hashtag strategy & you'll see results :)

Amazing tips, thanks so much! Just a question: if you're rebranding your content on Instagram, do you think it's a good idea to archive your old posts so that any new followers you attract land on a more curated page, or will the algorithm penalise you for that?

The algorithm won't penalise you for archiving content, so whether or not you choose to archive your content is completely up to you! If you do, i'd recommend uploading frequently to ensure you get a good bank of new content on your page

Thanks for sharing all of your tips! Planoly sounds awesome. I use Later personally but I think they do the same thing (and that it's also approved by Instagram). I mainly use it for Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook but I would love to migrate and get it posting over to Instagram too. Great tips!
