I'm really enjoying this series - I like that you're not afraid to DNF, Scrap, Thank-you-Next. I have a bad habit of plowing on when I'm not really into a book, so it's good to have a reminder that life is too short for dead dogs, shitty writing or celebrity stalkers. The Imaginary Corpse is giving me some Jasper Fforde vibes from your synopsis, I might have to check that one out.

Just wanted to warn you, Violet Made of Thorns ends on a cliffhanger and the author recently announced that she will not be finishing the series.

I really want to read the imaginary corpse now🦖 I managed to convince my 3 year old to let me watch this by saying “Becca has a dog” but he laughed out loud when your books fell over 🙈

I think you made the right call with Gone, there's quite a bit of animal stuff. It's a fast paced series, but if you read it I don't think you'd keep it anyway - just like a fun thriller

Violet Made of Thorns is actually one of my favorites! It was my 2nd favorite book of 2022 👏🏻 The Imaginary Corpse sounds so cool! The romance hardbacks falling over just gave me so much anxiety 😭 I adore Shelf It or Scrap It 💕

this is my absolute favorite series not just that you do but that anyone on booktube does! Almost rooting for you to never get rid of your stacks so you can go forever. I also very disliked Lunar Love, DNFed the Keanu Reeves atrocity, and....loathed Dr. Dil with every fiber of my being lol. I couldn't get over Prem being such garbage (it wasn't even the Charlie of it all). Glad you finally had a romance you enjoyed, though! I think you'll dig Forget Me Not and hope you get to it soonish.

I recommend "Love Chai and other Four Letter Words" by Annika Sharma for a start of romance series with South Asian Rep! I read the first two books and loved really enjoyed them.

Love this series, so fun. I really should try this for my shelves, since they are over full too, but I have a lot of unread epic fantasy. That's a lot of pages. lol. I love Dating Dr Dil. I'm so happy you did too. It was one of my favs from two years ago. The pepto bismal scene still makes me cackle.

🦖 loved the bookish vlog but coming here to chime in on the bed/mattress. I had exactly the same thoughts. I spend too much time in bed to cheap out on it. I highly recommend tempur mattresses. They are ridiculously expensive but (imo) totally worth it. I would recommend to check the comfort in store but order the mattress in an outlet (they deliver). The prices are more acceptable although still expensive! I think they have two physical outlet stores in UK (one on Swindon and another one I think somewhere up north) so you could check out if you are close to them.

love this series, the only book i have read from todays episode is the Gone series which i adore but it was in the height of dystopia hype when i read them, the dog doesn't die but it makes complete sense why you'd DNF the series. looking forward to the next one. ps love the bedroom colour and carpet looks fab
