So Dave, I see you're running R6 and ZX-6R side by side...... any preference for one of them?

Dave Williams, editor, replying here. Of the 14 tracks I've ridden it is by far the best of them all. It is worth the pilgrimage.

Hi @Dave Moss Tuning Quick question. Do I run a lower pressure in colder temps. I'm thinking more flex = more heat. Or do I raise the pressure in colder temps as less heat = less pressure? I'm not sure

Think about tyre carcass as the main factor and add that to flex. Flex/movement generates heat, so higher pressure means the heat is focused into a very narrow band. That is good for hard carcass tyres, so soft carcass going a couple of psi lower can help generate more heat.

How did lowering the tire pressure generate cold tear? Wouldn’t lowering the tire pressure create more contact patch = more traction= increase of tire temp?

If you lower the pressure on a hard carcass tire, heat is lost via dissipation. So, you increase pressure to focus the heat into a much narrower band to ensure you get heat in the zone of use.

Dave are you switching from Bridgestones to Dunlops now for racing? If yes, how come?

No - I test tires all the time. I'm Bridgestone for racing with AFM.

@@SK-ps1mo I like Bridgestone with the stiff sidewall and soft top. Perfect amount of feedback for me as well as feel.

I watched the full video on dmt website. the rear needs a lower pressure. We race them in Canada at 19psi hot off the track. Also 0455 is a med rear.

Dave in long run making full video available, I believe will have more viewing and more subscriber for your channel. Bigger picture

Thanks for the comment. Creating full length free videos did not bring more subscribers to the channel unfortunately. Number of views per video did not increase. Revenue from YT did not increase. What did bring subscribers was the volume of videos created once we surpassed 200. As the volume of content increases, so does the number of subscribers.

That's the beauty of the topic and testing. We get to really take a look at what you can do with lean and throttle.
