I disagree with the 7 to 10 range. It should be 2 to 5 at most.

Amazing income tax system here and now is the best in the world if we didn't willfully misapplly per the IRS and the ill informed public.

We also already pay consumption taxes at higher than those rates, btw. It's 11% in my area. And we call it sales tax, so I'm wondering who is making this suggestion, as Americans all already pay a "consumption" tax, and it's not called that by Americans.

High income earners and the wealthy have been screwed for so long on taxes. Little people should have to pay their fair share.

Consumption tax overwhelmingly hits the lower class the hardest as they spend all their money on consumption just to survive. The rich actually does not spend most of their money and so they won't get taxed much by a consumption tax. I support land value tax.
