    Very true. Imagine traffic building up in Pipeline and Avenue estate or Tumaini simply because matatus are stopping on the road to pick passengers and some are even crossing the busy road dangerously. Getting late to your destination and risky traffic all because there are no designated bus stops

    I remember traveling through this area on top of a lorry full of sheep and goats, seated on the metal bars. Road was so bumpy beyond imagination. This makes me want to visit my Rendille friends again in Kargi!

    I think some of us from Machakos should be very thankful. In an hour’s time we are home on tarmac. Glad our fellow Kenyans got this sorted out, I thank Kibaki and Uhuru for this.

    Well build road with proper signage and reflectors which aid a lot when driving at night. First time I drove on that road I felt proud of voting for Kibaki to be the president of Kenya.

    Congrats Kenya for good infrastructure, we're leading in the region, 503km is longer than Mombasa road from Nairobi to Mombasa.

    Before tarmac i used this road. A police road block at Laisamis at 9pm ensured we don't proceed Marsabit. We just slept outside the bus on the ground of sand. The night was just warm no need for covers.

Do a good road and open that region this will improve security as speed is safety in itself. It will open opportunities all the way. Ukur Yatani was a governor 2013 to 2017.     Who said these are Uhuru's projects. These are government projects under the vision 2030 blueprint. They were conceived in 2008 and will always go on regardless of who becomes the president. Ask yourself why both Azimio and KK had housing in their manifestos. Follow up on vision 2030 projects and you will be enlightened.

    The govt of Uhuru nd kibaki did try to open up North eastern but utapata hawa watu wengine wao bado wanaficha na ku support alshabaab.. North eastern has alot of Economic potential coz i know somalis are talented in business..they should gather nd eliminate all those shameless shabaab supporting elements that still live over there.Most of the shabaab sympathizers are somali from somalia not Kenyan somalis. Alshabab hawapendi maendeleo,im sure they're planning on how to attack this contractor ndio hii kazi iishe.

    I thought kenya is tarmac all. Here in Tanzania all regions are connected with tarmac roads and others are 1500km from Dar es Salaam. How do you rate your country road network longer than Tanzania that is twice in size kenya.?

Dual carriageway from Dar to morogoro 200km and dual around Dodoma city more than 100km. When you visit Tanzania without kenyan ego you will realize Tanzania is beoming more developed nowdays

Now days they constructing dual carriageway from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma and from Makambako to Tunduma more than 700km.

    Those are Oromo and their relatives are in Ethiopia not Somalia. They are not as troublesome as Somalians and those go up there find very a peaceful people all the way to Ethiopia.
