This is like taking model building to the next level. Unfortunately all that hard work will probably be destroyed with the next heavy rain.

Looks like I’m here early. Seeing the turbines being opened having an effect on the amount of water flowing through the spillway (if that’s the correct term) there seems like a good thing. I would expect it means that your dam is making more efficient use of the water flowing through or past it and turning more of that energy into electricity.

great job, I've been watching these videos for a while and I find them interesting. (I'm not an engineer) but I have always thought that if you put the turbines as low as possible, the water should have a greater force to move the turbine, I would also try to use the water drainage pipe that you use to make drain the water while you build the dam to move the turbine, using a tap that you leave open while you build the dam and then by closing it you can fill it, you can mount a turbine on the pipe, opening it as you like you can regulate the flow of water entering the turbine . in this way you will have the maximum pressure from the column of water above, if you then reduce the large pipe the pressure will increase. this way, the turbine will be at the lowest point and powered by the maximum pressure available from the dam. I would make the turbines with the outlet wider than the inlet, so that the water will not have any impediments to exiting and offering maximum pressure on the propeller. I believe that the less still water there is around the propeller, the more it is free to rotate, the air is compressible, the water is not. It would be nice to see a dam with these small modifications

Good job 👍 but you might want to know that if there’s a big storm coming, your dam might wash away. Very good video though!

I’ve watched several of these videos and have always wondered if you use the power generated from these dams to power anything else? Such as something in a home or to charge batteries etc.
