This song brings back so much momeries. It's one of my mom's favourite hymns. Hearing it this morning it is so refreshing to know that our God constantly abides with us by giving us a peace that the world cannot take away. What an assurance! But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your rememberance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27

terry diehl hello, I’m glad you’re enjoying these hymns! I would really encourage you to take heed to your husband regarding heaven. We believe that salvation is simply by faith alone in Jesus Christ. “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Our works cannot save us. And I know that the Catholic Church teaches a hard core works-based salvation. As much as I like hearing you enjoy these hymns, the most important thing is knowing where you will spend eternity.

Listen, I love the hymns and would frown on any church throwing tthem out for a screen sing but, the Baptists are great singers and musicians but hove ZERO praise. The choir sings "shout to the Lord" and when the song is over you get a couple AMENS and its quiet. I wish I could introduce praise and choruses in services but it is so square. Almost makes me want to start a church but dont feel up to reinventing old time power. God help church!
