The fact that there is only 22 comments is crazy. This drill had me striking so much more consistently after literally 5 mins. I am actually seeing ball flights like I should instead of blading, duffing every other swing. Incredible tips and drill. Thank you! Subscribe button “mashed”!

I respect the amount of content you've been releasing recently. All quality videos. Your honest and straightforward attitude is probably why you don't have a million subscribers but your knowledge of the golf swing is unmatched. I hope you get the credit you deserve, I've been following you since 2013.

I hate most drills but this one is gold. Thank you Mark for another great video. You have a mastery of how us amateurs swing and solutions to correct it.

Another excellent video Mark. If you can pure a strike with a quarter swing, it demonstrates what the full swing should lead up to. Love this

Great advice and it works! I added to your drill by setting up on the far left of the driving range and tried to hit each ball into the net while aiming straight to get the feel. Then on the first hole, just aim right side of fairway..

Good stuff again Mark! I’ve actually had my last set of grips aligned to do this when I pick up the clubs… It definitely helps.

I’ve been doing this for years, but coaches try to stop me, saying it’s closed at address. But as you say it’s match ups, and I love playing a 2-3 yard draw. Awesome Mark, thank you.

Hey mate. Been following along for years and recently starting playing again after a ~20 year break. Im back practicing almost daily with the hopes of getting back to a stratch again and was wondering if you could do a video/series about practice regimes for all aspects of the game similar to the break 80 series to better utilise practice hours rather than just bashing balls till my hands bleed. Cheers mate, love the vids and the channel

EXCELLENT VIDEO. I've always felt to make this work better is use a lighter grip pressure and "feel" like you're hitting a low shot. If you're strangling the club with your hands, you'll never get shaft lean and the club will come through like a vertical broom handle. Do those two things and your body will do the rest.

Wow! I've actually been working on something like this to improve my contact. Should the leading edge match your spine angle as sort of a reference point?

When you close the face at the first parallel is this starting with a square face at set up and then flexion/extending left and right wrists, respectively? Would it be wrong to start at setup with a traditional slightly cupped left wrist but with the face closed to target line at that setup point?

So I tried this at the range today and hit some good shots, but whats the next step to a full swing... go a bit higher with the back swing? Also struggled to send the ball right of target 🤷 Guessing path
