Consistency Is Key

Like all things, consistently practicing is important in skating. This is something I have not been able to do as much as would like this year. This week I work on making sure I haven’t lost any tricks after two weeks away from skating.

    Great video with an even greater message! Maybe a bit of self promotion, but if people are not able to go out and skate. A great way to maintain the progression is to do specific exercises. Keep (for bladers) the legs fit and strong, you'll benefit from it in the park when you get back. But of course, for skills. The best way to train is to be consistent to that specific trick. Thanks for the video, I always like watching your content!

    Couldn’t agree more. I really need to focus and be able to repeat my attempts without others interrupting if I want to do my best tricks! If I need to share an obstacle with more than 1 person I loose motivation quickly. Great video!

    Hahahaha....I have the same problem with people (especially scooter kids) following me to "empty" spots! I think it often is curiosity on their part because there hardly are any Bladers around anymore! Great Video as always!

    My exact same experience.. I have nothing against Scooters, but boy IT is like there is some magical force behind it or something. Like, all of them doing jumps at the mini ramp, so I go to the empty pyramid and wax the ledges, do one grind, boom! all the kids suddenly decide to practice jumps over the pyramid.. OK, keeping calm and going to the 90° curved rail almost no one ever uses... XD

    So true..., I just got back into skating, after a long break, and I try to hit the skatepark three times a week, two at the very least, and it helps physically and mentally. Consistency build, or rebuilds, muscle memory, confidence, and it takes away the urgency of having to land everything at once. I had poor results on previous attempts to get back to skating, because I will only ride once a week, or once every two weeks, go all out, trying to relive my glory days, get hurt, frustrated, and eventually hang the skates for a couple more years.

    Man you´re so patient lol. It´s so hard to try to go back to your tricks and being in a packed park, it´s soo annoying. I could only do it because I´ve built myself a box in my garage and found the hours where parks really have nobody. You´re a warrior man! Congratulations on the making of this and the channel as a whole, I know it´s a lot of work! The Tricks are good as always! Keep up the great work with the channel!

    Thank you. This session was definitely a process. The righty top acid took 18-20 minutes to get between falling and waiting on an opening to attempt it. There were times when my blood was boiling for sure.

    A weekly Thursday night skatepark session in London here in the UK has recently become inline and rollerskate only 🙏 I love all the other sports but purely for your ability to predict each other’s movements and lines, it’s so much less stressful than when skateboarders cut backwards and forwards across the park at will and session the flat area between ramps, right in the middle of everyone’s lines. When you throw all the disciplines in together, we all approach the obstacles in such different ways it becomes a free for all 😂

    How hard is it to get work as a pilot once you get your license. Do you only fly regional. I've done my ground school a few years back to get my private pilot license and then the recession hit and my plans sort of went away. I'm interested in making it happen but I'm wondering what the job market was like pre-covid.

  • @coreyenglish8706

    @coreyenglish8706

    Some regs changed since 08. You need 1500 TT and an ATP to work at a regional now. The market was incredibly good pre Covid. Signing bonuses, relatively quick upgrade times and company sponsored ATP ratings. We’ll see how long it takes to come back around, but things were fairly good.

    Thanks for the info. It can be hard to gauge the job market in these areas and it’s a big decision to pay for training when you are already making the same money in what you already do. Also I like your skate videos because they show the process is hard but you can earn it. Thanks again
