Reason being secular systems like humanism are descriptive, meaning we are able to use our experiences to develop moral principles based on human well-being, theistic principles are prescriptive, they don’t allow for progress or debate. They’re dogmatic . Incest isn’t justified or defined as being morally correct or incorrect. Some actions are amoral, meaning as long as it’s not affecting people outside of the immediate individual’s experiences then who’s to say it’s right or wrong.

A lot of these anti-vaccine parents were vaccinated as children, which fascinates me. They homeschool their kids, after insisting women shouldn't receive formal education after a certain point. The wives are left to do that, because teaching is childcare to people like this.

I used to work with people with learning disabilities back in the day. A couple of people there were brother and sister. Both had a severe learning disability due to pku. They had been born a couple of years before the Guthrie test was introduced. This test prevents monumental suffering. Im glad your daughter has benefited from this very simple test and the following procedures.
