unfortunately this swap meet only takes place twice a year, once in February and then in October. If you're in Texas in April, there are some good ones then

The one you really want to go in Texas is the Pate Swap Meet. you really need several days to see it all. This year the goodguys car show will be happening there as well. you could get 2 birds with one stone. its the last weekend of April but im there from Tues through Sat. I'd advise anyone checking it out for the first time to take 3 days to see the swap meet

The only thing that really interests me at the swap meets are some of the good tools and equipment and some of the parts. The cars, not so much. I did just fix my battery charger this weekend. It was making a big racket. Turns out some of the wiring was hitting the fan. Fixed that and good to go, nice and quiet now. It's a Diehard I've had for over 20 years.

well there you go Google man, plenty of tools, equipment and parts to see at most swap meets. I've always found it odd there are car guys that dont care for swap meets. I know several. they would rather buy online. maybe its about time. they don't like the thrill of the hunt

@@ClassicRideSociety The prices aren't as good as yard sales. Everyone there "knows what I got" and that's just annoying. I used to go years back and did get good deals. Then it seemed like by around 2005 or so, everyone was just cleaning out their basement trying to make a buck off of junk that should have been sold or junked years ago. LOL. It's not the "thrill of the hunt" so much as "I got it and I know what I got". I guess we're all like that in a way.

Conroe Texas. Just north of Houston. The swap meet takes place twice a year, once in February and then in October, at the Montgomery County fairgrounds. You can look it up on google for the exact dates.

😄 if you're referring to the discussion going on at the beginning of the video, I was on the fence on if I should edit that out. Interesting thing about that is that good ol boy who seemed the most upset was a Hispanic 😄, most likely of Mexican decent if I had to guess.

actually I was there since 9am. I walked it 3 times. first walk through was for me. second was for the first video showing parts and the third walk through was showing the cars/trucks for sale. It really is difficult to get everything done in one day which is usually all the time I have. I need two days 😄
