Conrail in the 1990's Vol 19 The last days before CSX

This is Volume 19, the last in a series of videos on the subject of Conrail in the 1990's. I recorded video for about 15 years starting in 1989 resulting is about 100 hours of VHS recordings of railroads. Although "VHS" quality and often shaky, the subject matter from nearly 2 decades ago make them sometimes worth a look. Look for some of my other videos on other railroads. I am just learning about captions so there are a few in this video where I thought they were helpful.

Missed the Ole Conrail Days!
Nice video! Wish Conrail was still around today. It's kinda funny that in 1999 there were U-Boats on Intermodal trains...

Fascinating footage. An SD70 hood unit (Norfolk Southern) and SD60 Wide Cabs. What is the location? They have spots like this in downtown Atlanta, but you'd likely be run off the property. Had to subscribe before the clip was over, lol.

The location is Utica, NY Union Station. Located upstate about the geographical center of NY State. We are pretty laid back here.. If you respect the property and don't act like an idiot.. you are unlikely to be bothered. There are now 3 RRs here CSX, MA&N and Adirondack Scenic RR... Thanks for the sub..

This was filmed in Central New York State...mostly Utica, on the former NYC, then Conrail Chicago line, now CSX..
