I have stayed at this hotel. The Conrad is a 7-minute walk to 5th Avenue, not sure where you get 30 minutes. Louis Vuitton on 5th & 57th is 9 minutes away. Chanel is a few steps away also on 57th. I don't understand the "30-minute 5th Avenue shopping walk" statement. Central Park is 6 minutes away (walk to corner of 7th & 59th), not 20 minutes. The wife and I did that walk numerous times during our stay. Times Square is a 7-minute walk, not 15 minutes. About a 20-minute walk to Grand Central Station. Main thing here: this hotel IS NICE, you pay a pretty penny per night, but you are getting your money's worth, it has prime location and a super comfortable room. Yes, it may not be The Mandarin or The Pierre, but I am not paying those hotels rates (at least not yet😀).

Agree, we loved the location of the hotel. Maybe we stopped and stared at everything too often? The walk seemed longer to us😂
